'80s star of hit action TV series who later worked with Joey Lawrence seen on rare LA outing... can you guess who?

This star of the 1980s was spotted on a rare outing as she got in some exercise in Los Angeles earlier this week.

The actress is best known for appearing on a hit action-adventure television series that remains a pop-culture touchstone to this day.

However, her time on the series was limited to just its first two seasons.

Afterward, she appeared on multiple shows throughout the '80s, before starring with Joey Lawrence in the mid-to-late 1990s.

The actress, whose last major role was 25 years ago, is also married to a film and television director.

Can you guess who this former small-screen star is?

The actress is best known for appearing on a hit action-adventure television series that remains a pop-culture touchstone to this day, and she's also married to a film and TV director. Can you guess who this former small-screen star is?

She's Melinda Culea of The A-Team fame.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Culea and her husband, Peter Markle, for comment but hasn't yet heard back.

Culea's claim to fame is her role as Amy (Amanda) Allen on The A-Team.

Culea was pictured out earlier this week in a dark shirt, zip-up hoodie and purple sweatpants while taking a stroll.

While Culea is best known for her work on The A-Team, her time on the series was reportedly fraught.

She played a newspaper reporter who joined the eponymous team, a group of US Army Special Forces commandos who are falsely convicted of a crime from their time fighting in Vietnam.

After escaping, they take up a new profession as mercenaries.

The show made a star of Mr. T, who played Bosco 'BA' Baracus, and it also starred George Peppard as John 'Hannibal' Smith, Dirk Benedict as Templeton 'Face' Peck and Dwight Schultz as HM 'Howling Mad' Murdock.

However, Culea's time on the series was reportedly fraught. According to People Magazine, her costar Peppard objected to having a woman involved in the series.

Although Culea reportedly suggested ways for her character to be involved in The A-Team's battles, including as a comic-relief figure who needs to be rescued by the rest of the group, producers were in line with Peppard.

Amy was written off The A-Team in the middle of its second season, while the series continued for three more seasons.

Culea got her start on television in 1981, and she would also guest star on episodes of Fantasy Island, Family Ties and St. Elsewhere, among other shows.

She scored a recurring role on the short-lived series Glitter from 1984 to 1985, before joining Knots Landing from 1989 to 1990.

In the '90s, Culea had guest spots on Beverly Hills, 90210; Jake and the Fatman; Star Trek: The Next Generation; Murder, She Wrote and Chicago Hope.

One of her biggest roles in the decade was as the stepmother of Joey Lawrence on Brotherly Love, which aired from 1995 to 1997.

Culea almost exclusively appeared on television during her career, but one of her notable big-screen appearances was in the 1994 comedy Wagons East.

Later in the '80s, she scored a recurring role on the short-lived series Glitter from 1984 to 1985, along with multiple episodes of Family Ties opposite Michael J. FOx, before she joined Knots Landing from 1989 to 1990

The misbegotten film was notable for being the final film shot with John Candy, who died of a heart attack at just 43 during principal photography, though the previously shot Canadian Bacon ended up being released after Wagons East.

Wagons East was also notably directed by Culea's future husband, Peter Markle.

The two tied the knot in 1996, two years after the film's release.

Markle is also known for directing the 1992 rom-com The Personals, and on television he directed episodes of The X-Files and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Culea's final roles were in 2001, but since then she has reinvented herself as a writer and illustrator.
