Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch share a glimpse at their stunning house renovation as they joke strain of the project caused him to 'walk out'

Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch have shared a look at their house renovation after revealing the strain the project has put on their relationship.

The couple sold their Surrey home and temporarily moved to their pad in Portugal while looking for a new property in the UK, which they have now found.

However they admitted during this week's episode of their podcast, The Therapy Crouch, that the undertaking has caused tension between them.

The house makeover has faced disappointing delays due to the time it takes for materials to arrive at the house and Abbey revealed Peter thought she was throwing a 'hissy fit' because of the holdup.

Airing their fight on the episode, Abbey said: 'You just got a bit p****d off at me then when you thought I was throwing a hissy fit for it not being done.

Peter replied: 'No, I was I wasn't really, babe. I could see you upset.'

While Abbey argued: 'No, no, you left me. You walked out.'

Peter then explained: 'No, because you I could see you know when things stressed you out sometimes you you it creeps into every how you speak to people I think and it was creeping in so I left, because you were angry about the situation you I could see you potentially taking out on me.'

Abbey also said she is 'brokenhearted' that the family won't be in their new home for Christmas due to the setbacks they have faced on the project, which they admitted they have 'blown the budget on'.

Despite their new house taking a while to come together, the couple said they are 'blown away' every time they visit the property which will be their 'forever home'.

Abbey has posted a glimpse at the work that has been done so far on her Instagram Story, including an enormous master bed and bathroom.

The en suite, which had a fireplace and a marble floor installed, looks out onto a sprawling landscaped garden at the back of the house.

Abbey then walked back through the master bedroom which was neutrally toned and featured huge Georgian-style sash windows.

Downstairs, the work continued as she gave fans a glimpse at the large living room and kitchen, where she revealed she had picked out the floor tiles.

The renovation project will feature heavily in their brand-new documentary called The Crouches which is set to feature on Prime Video.

The show follows the couple as they navigate the renovation after leaving their £3million home, big birthdays, weddings, priorities and their kids starting to fly the nest.

Abbey and Peter have said that it will be a 'warts and all' look at their daily lives and will contain some moments they may 'regret letting the cameras see', as they promised the series will rival The Kardashians.

In the docuseries, the biggest change of all will see them pack up and move out of the home they lovingly designed from scratch to take on a brand-new redesign project.

With an offer already accepted on their current home – a bespoke build complete with 8ft tall doors for Pete's statuesque frame – a move out date is imminent.

But as Abbey dives headfirst into the renovation, Pete is about to set off to the World Cup, leaving her juggling the kids, the pets, and a building site.

Abbey has hit 40 and decided the roles within the family need reshaping – having made sacrifices for Pete's football career, she's now making her goals a priority… but will Pete play ball?

Peter said of the upcoming series: 'We're so excited about our new series with Prime Video. I absolutely loved making That Peter Crouch Film, so much so that this time I've somehow managed to drag Abbey and the whole family into it!

'It's a bit scary as it's warts and all, but I'm sure you enjoy laughing with us (probably at us). There will be a lot of chaos and probably a few moments we'll regret letting the cameras see, some ups and some downs, but it will be us.

'Our life should be lovely, calm and simple… it is not. Watch out Kardashians we are coming for you.'

The docuseries will launch on Prime Video in 2027.
