After Conquering Esports, T1 Faker Officially Stuns the TCG Market With a $50K Card

Riftbound resellers are asking for — and getting — ridiculous returns on a $360 set

Riot Games' Riftbound is making a big splash on the TCG market this week, thanks to a new release that quickly sold out and is going for nearly 20 times its asking price on the secondhand market. The Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Signature Edition started shipping out to buyers over the past week, and many have since quickly been flipped on eBay, with some auctions fetching upward of $7,000.

Many of the sets sold on eBay have been going for $5,000 to $6,000, but some resellers are aiming much, much higher, particularly when it comes to a serial-numbered card in the Riftbound bundle "signed" by T1 player Faker. Multiple sellers are asking $50,000 for the card.

What's in the Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Signature Edition set?

Riot's Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Signature Edition bundle is inspired by T1's win at Worlds 2025 and features five League of Legends Champions on cards with new artwork and a unique card frame. Each card was selected by a T1 member of the winning team, Riot says. The cards in the limited-edition bundle are gold-foiled and serialized, and one card in each set is randomly gold-stamped with that player’s signature.

The cards included in the Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Signature Edition set are: Ambessa, The Wolf (Doran); Galio, Indefatigable (Faker); Miss Fortune, Buccaneer (Gumayusi); Seraphine, Not Alone (Keria); and Xin Zhao, Vigilant (Oner). Unsurprisingly, T1's most popular and highest-earning player, Faker (real name Sang Hyeok Lee), is commanding the biggest prices on the secondhand market. Multiple sellers are trying to resell bundles that feature Faker's gold-stamped signature for tens of thousands of dollars.

Incidentally, the standard version of the Galio, Indefatigable Riftbound card goes for around $0.26, according to TCGPlayer.

According to Riot, only 10,125 versions of the Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Signature Edition set were produced in English. With a one-in-five chance at getting a gold-stamped Faker card, that means just 2,025 of the sets will include his signature. While it doesn't appear that anyone's biting yet on dropping $50,000 (or even $30,000) on a Faker-signed Riftbound card, the highest-end auctions have plenty of watchers gawking to see what sells and for how much.

Over the past year, some Riftbound cards have sold for prices as high as $39,000.

Riot Games officially launched Riftbound in October 2025, with a series of decks and booster boxes. Riot quickly faced the same issue that The Pokémon Company did, with sets selling out and quickly being scalped by speculators. For the Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Signature Edition bundle, Riot attempted to curb bots and resellers by requiring a Riot ID and limiting sets to one purchase per print run. Even still, with limited numbers come buyers hoping to capitalize on rarity, and it appears that some scalpers are profiting handsomely.

We'll keep an eye on how well the Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Signature Edition bundle sells after the hype dies down a bit.
