Few Pokémon are harder to find in Pokémon GO than Ditto, the Normal-type pink blob who is famous for disguising itself within the mobile game. Now even more infamous due to its role in the spin-off Pokémon Pokopia, Ditto is more valuable than ever, though not much harder to find than in previous months. For November 2026, Ditto uses familiar Pokémon as masks, making it easy for players to track.
There was a shake-up to Ditto's disguises when Pokémon Pokopia came out, as well as the 30th Anniversary of Pokémon GO some time ago. That being said, Ditto largely has the same disguises it has always used this month. To catch Ditto, players will have to catch a Pokémon it is hiding as, where you'll get an "Oh?" message after capturing the disguise that reveals it as the Normal-type instead.
All Ditto Disguises In Pokémon Go (November 2026)
Track Down The Right Pokémon To Make Ditto Reveal Itself
For November 2026, there are 11 different Ditto disguises in the game right now, marking a slightly smaller pool than the usual 12 players may expect from past months. Typically, a "Completely Normal" in-game event might make Ditto appear more often in Pokémon GO, but such an event hasn't taken place for quite some time. Many of the disguises present now are the same as they were in October 2026 for Ditto, while following the same strict rules.
You won't know you've caught a Ditto until after you've secured one of their disguises, whether that disguise is Shiny or not. For example, you might capture a Duskull, only for that familiar "Oh?" message to appear once you've done so. The moment that message shows up, the Duskull will transform into Ditto, while retaining its power level while changing its stats and moves to match what Ditto normally has.
Ditto is not a very useful Pokémon in battle, but its transformations can be great counters to trick other players. With a high enough power, Ditto can be a strong sleeper hit for Raid battles or Gym defenses.
The possible Ditto disguises you should be looking for in November 2026 include:
- Duskull (Ghost-type)
- Seedot (Grass-type)
- Teddiursa (Normal-type)
- Whismur (Normal-type)
- Slakoth (Normal-type)
- Voltorb (Electric-type)
- Magnemite (Steel/Electric-type)
- Growlithe (Fire-type)
- Surskit (Bug/Water-type)
- Sentret (Normal-type)
- Mankey (Fighting-type)
Trying to find the above Pokémon depends on the region you live in, as some Pokémon only show up in certain areas. However, even with that restriction, you still need to worry about certain Pokémon only appearing during specific times of the day. With Growlithe showing up during the day and Duskull spawning at night only, the disguises you search for heavily depends on what conditions they spawn under.
How To Increase The Chances Of Finding Ditto
Team Up With Others To Cause Ditto To Appear Often
There are many ways to increase the spawn rates of Pokémon like Growlithe, Sentret, Magnemite, and others, usually through the same methods you might use for other creatures in Pokémon GO. By activating an Incense or Lure Module item, you can force many Pokémon to show up in a single area, including the Ditto disguises. Doing this allows more Ditto to appear as a result, as more disguises ups your chances of getting a Ditto within the group.
All Ditto appearances are randomized whenever you capture a Ditto disguise, without any exact odds to follow. It could take capturing 10 different Duskull before you find a Ditto hiding among them, or you could get lucky and find Ditto on your first try. Having an Incense in use simply gives you more Pokémon encounters, therefore allowing you to capture more hypothetical Duskull at a faster rate to speed up an inevitable encounter with Ditto.
Once a Ditto is revealed through a disguise, you do not have to go through a capture encounter to catch it again. However, any difficulty you have with capturing a disguise will be equal to a normal encounter with that Pokémon.
Finding a Shiny Ditto is even harder than capturing a normal one, as you only have a 1 in 64 chance (around 1.5%) once you manage to track down a normal Ditto. Yet, truly lucky players might find themselves with a shiny Ditto in front of them, but this becomes less about luck if you have friends using Incense or Lure Modules near you. Continuously using in-game items to increase disguise encounters will up Shiny odds too, simply by a dramatic rise in overall Pokémon captures.
There are plenty of good strategies related to securing the Gen 1 Normal-type, but having more people doing them at once is almost a guaranteed way of finding the Pokémon. While it remains to be seen whether Ditto will shift their disguises in an event this month, Pokémon GO keeps the door open for the Pokemon to be found by those clever enough to look.
