Meeting new party members in Final Fantasy Resonance is part of the journey. As in other games in the series, you start with only a few characters who team up to go on an adventure, but as they progress, they make friends who join the group. Although you can only use up to four characters in combat, unlocking all available party members broadens your strategic options.

To help you navigate this adventure and locate the new allies you need to save the world, we prepared this guide to explain where to find all party members in Final Fantasy Resonance.

[Ed. note: The following guide contains light spoilers for Final Fantasy Resonance, so continue at your own risk!]

All party members in Final Fantasy Resonance

In Final Fantasy Resonance, there are eight party members that you recruit by completing the segment of the main story where you meet them. This means that they are locked behind the campaign, leaving you no alternative but to focus on completing the chapters to add new characters to your roster.

Each character belongs to a specific role, which helps you balance support and offense within your party. At the same time, using the right Vision and mastery bonus skills allows you to complement a character's kit. Shifting them to a different role is quite difficult, though, because a character's stat progression is pre-determined, they will inevitably perform better in certain roles. For example, magic attack is Sakura's highest attribute, making her a natural caster.

Final Fantasy Resonance is designed to resemble older traditional Final Fantasy games, but when it comes to character progression, you don't need to worry about leveling up characters and who is out of the main party. All characters earn both experience points and mastery points after battle.

Here's a list of all the characters in Final Fantasy Resonance and when you unlock them:
