All spark container upgrade locations in Mina the Hollower

How to get more sparks

Finding every spark container in Mina the Hollower won't turn you immortal, but you're far less likely to go broke when you tumble into a pit, as carrying more sparks means less risk of losing your bones (money) upon death. On top of that, carrying extra spark stacks makes it easier to open spark doors — the silver-gold doors with the circular spark sockets.

All spark container upgrade locations in Mina the Hollower

There are three spark container upgrades found in Mina the Hollower. They can be earned by doing the following:

Purchase from the Emporium in Ossex.
Restore the headless statue in Mourner's Mile.
Defeat the Dark Deluxy boss in Septemburg.

Additionally, you can grab the Spark Catcher trinket, which acts as another spark container, while technically not counting as an upgrade.

How to get the Ossex spark container in Mina the Hollower

The easiest spark container to obtain in Mina the Hollower is the one sold at the Emporium, the item shop on the east side of the Ossex City Center. The spark container costs 1,500 bones.

How to get the Mourner's Mile spark container in Mina the Hollower

To obtain this spark container, you must restore the headless statue in Mourner's Mile. Our guide on where to find the statue heads explains this in more detail, but in short, here's what you should do. First, find the path to Queensbury Crypt (clear the Mourner's Mile Spike Vault) and defeat the Duchess. You might want to find the Queensbury Crypt mirror location and weapon upgrade while you're there. When you're ready to leave, restore the spark generator and exit toward the south.

When you're back in Mourner's Mile: Knight's Rest, step onto the pressure plate and burrow through the tunnel next to the doorway.

The missing statue head is in the northwest. Spend two kears (keys) to reach it, then carry it south until you reach the headless statue. If you need more kears, you can buy them at the Kear Institute in Ossex.

Place the statue head on the statue, and exit this area to the northwest to find a treasure chest with a spark container inside.

How to get the Septemburg spark container in Mina the Hollower

The third spark container can be found after you've restored the Septemburg spark generator. Directly south of the generator, next to the Underlab entrance, you'll find a new pathway leading into the Wastewater Canal.

A bit further south, in the room with the large boar, find the cracked wall in the northeast corner. Hit it to reveal a spark door. You must carry two sparks to enter.

In the next room, speak with Luxy, who's looking for the nearby spark generator. To reach Luxy, use the pipe on the right, then walk left in a straight line.

Luxy will illuminate your surroundings, but only for a brief moment. Use that moment to jump onto the next platform, slowly making your way to the northwest sewer exit. If you didn't see the platforms clearly enough, wait for Luxy's next bout of light — better to work slowly than to fall down. Beware that Luxy's light also knocks you away, so try to walk and jump quickly and avoid standing near Luxy. The Pit Preserver trinket is very helpful here.

When you're outside, go north to return to the spark generator. Unfortunately, the generator transforms Luxy into the Dark Deluxy boss. After defeating the boss, use a plasma vial while standing next to Dark Deluxy to obtain the spark container.

How to get the Spark Catcher trinket in Mina the Hollower

Technically, this isn't a spark container, but a trinket that serves as a spark container. You can buy the Spark Catcher at Pinky's Parlor for 500 bones. If you've already unlocked the Nox's Bayou train station (Swamp Station), start from there and exit the large Shanty Swamp lake with the circling rafts to the north. On the next screen, turn right to find Pinky's Parlor. It takes one kear to open the path.

If you're walking from Ossex, leave through the south gate and turn west into the Western Wilds. From there, you must go south until you see Buffo the frog.
