The Moto G Stylus has dropped to $300 for Amazon Prime Day, saving shoppers $100 on a solid midrange model.

So far, 2026 has been a great year for Motorola smartphones. I've tested each of their foldables, and I recommend them all. But you shouldn't overlook what came before, as 2025 also introduced a fantastic lineup. Among the affordable devices released last year, the Moto G Stylus stood out as the strongest overall package (read my full review of the Moto G Stylus here).

One of the reasons I liked the phone so much is its display. The phone boasts a stunning 6.7-inch AMOLED Super HD screen running at a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Colors look vibrant, and scrolling through web pages feels quite fluid. Overall, the visual quality punches far above what you'd expect from a $300 phone. It even reaches a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, maintaining clear visibility even in bright conditions.

The powerful Dolby Atmos speakers pair wonderfully with the display, turning the Moto G Stylus into a mini theater perfect for streaming movies on Netflix and gaming. Speaking of gaming, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor gives the model a major performance boost over the low-cost Moto G models. Titles like Honkai: Star Rail run smoother on the Stylus. You won't experience the stuttering or graphical issues that the other phones had.

Other notable features of the Moto G Stylus include a 50MP Sony LYTIA camera for high-quality photography, AI-powered tools like Sketch to Image, and 17 hours of battery life.

How I rated this deal

As per ZDNET's rating system, I grant this deal a 3/5. The Moto G Stylus delivers a user experience that feels closer to a premium smartphone than a budget device. Its AMOLED screen, strong speakers, solid performance, and design all help the model stand out in the crowded midrange market. I highly recommend this phone to anyone looking for a dependable Android. Even a year after its release, this remains one of the best value phones in Motorola's lineup.
