Barbara Palvin Defends Her VS Fashion Show Walk After Giving Birth
Barbara Palvin Defends Walking Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Weeks After Welcoming Baby
Barbara Palvin is spreading her wings as a new mom—and doesn’t mind if she ruffled any feathers by hitting the runway postpartum.
After the model appeared at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show six weeks following the birth of her and Dylan Sprouse’s daughter Sylvie, she addressed criticism of those who believed she put on her angel wings back on too soon.
“Honestly, there were 50-50 with the reactions,” Palvin exclusively told E! News in a joint interview with her husband at the Sprouse House Halloween Party in Los Angeles Oct. 31. “Some people loved that I was back, and some people were like, maybe I should be resting at home.”
“Everyone's postpartum journey is different,” she explained, “and this is just mine.”
And although the 33-year-old—who welcomed their firs baby on Sept. 7—felt “overwhelmed” by the widespread reaction to her return to the runway, she’s so grateful to have had her loved ones at her side.
“I'm lucky that I have the support from my husband and my family,” Palvin shared, “and they were able to get me there.”
And as the VS Angel continues to soar in her new journey with motherhood, she has simple words of wisdom for other new moms: “Don't be scared to ask for help.”
And though Sprouse went viral for standing up and cheering for the angel of his dreams when Palvin walked down the runway, the Suite Life of Zach and Cody alum doesn’t think his reaction should be considered a novelty.
“I'm as proud as I could possibly be,” he praised. “It’s a difficult thing to do.”
But the 34-year-old emphasized that “it shouldn't be extraordinary to cheer for someone that you love walking and doing something that you're proud of them for.”

“For partners, just clap and cheer,” Sprouse added. “I don't know why some people clutch their pearls about it.”
And from Palvin’s point of view, she was simply happy to see her man in the audience. In fact, she revealed she wasn’t sure if Sprouse was going to arrive in time to see her do her thing on the runway.
“That he caught his flight and he didn't miss the show,” she replied when asked about her reaction to seeing Sprouse cheering her on in the front row. “He was coming home from filming, so I was worried he's not gonna make it.”

And the couple now gets to enjoy a major milestone as parents: their first Halloween with Sylvie.
And while Sprouse and Palvin dressed as The Nightmare Before Christmas’ Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie, respectively, their baby girl had multiple costume changes.
“She's a pumpkin by now, dude. She's a pumpkin. She hit her pumpkin hour,” Sprouse shared. “She started as a princess, of course.”
