Blizzard and Netflix Officially Reveal Diablo Animated Series in the Works

Blizzard Entertainment is finally expanding the "entertainment" half of its name. On Saturday, at BlizzCon 2026's opening ceremony, Blizzard president Johanna Faries announced that it's teaming up with Netflix to bring the world of Diablo to streaming. A new animated series set in the world of Blizzard's demon-slaying franchise is coming to Netflix.

And that's not all. Blizzard has plans to adapt more of its franchises, Faries teased.

Blizzard and Netflix's Diablo animated series is "only the beginning," the company said. Faries hinted that projects based on Overwatch and Warcraft are also in the works, but that it was too early to reveal which partners and in what form those adaptations will take.
