Brittany Mahomes Cheekily Reacts to ESPN Prediction After Chiefs Win

Brittany Mahomes is punting a told-you-so at ESPN.
After her husband Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to victory in a 31-10 faceoff against the Denver Broncos Sept. 14—which ESPN panelists predicted would end in a loss for the Midwest team—Brittany playfully called out the network for their fumble.
As she wrote over a screenshot from the ESPN morning show Get Up shared to her Instagram Stories Sept. 14, “Oopsies.”
But the Mahomes have more than one reason to celebrate after the Chiefs’ season-opener. After all, the season kickoff—where Taylor Swift made her first appearance at Arrowhead Stadium since marrying tight end Travis Kelce—marked Patrick’s long-awaited return to the field after tearing his ACL and LCL in his left knee while competing against the Los Angeles Chargers in December 2025.
Though the injury benched him for the remainder of the Chiefs’ rocky 2025-2026 season, he proved he was back and better than ever during training camp this summer. And Brittany—mom to kids Sterling, 5, Bronze, 3, and Golden, 20 months, with Patrick—couldn’t have been happier to see her husband tackle his passion once again.
“Seeing him back doing what he loves,” Brittany wrote on Instagram Stories July 25 alongside a reshared video of Patrick heading to training camp. “So thankful.”

And Patrick also expressed his excitement to be reunited with his NFL family after signing a two-year contract extension with the Chiefs valued at over $500 million, per his agency.
"CHIEFS KINGDOM!!!! We are here to stay!" he captioned a June 10 Instagram post featuring a photo of himself, Brittany and their little ones posing at his contract extension signing. "Love this place and the people that are apart of it."
"Thank you all for being there for me and my family everyday!” he added. “We ain’t done yet tho!"
