DWTS’ Pasha Pashkov, Amber Glenn React to His Bloody Rehearsal Injury

Despite the quick bounce back, Glenn still “felt terrible” about injuring her partner as she accidentally elbowed him in the face during a spin.

“I was trying to hide it. I was trying to make sure he was OK,” the 26-year-old told E!. “The second they took me into the interview, I was like, ‘I hurt him.’ I felt so so so bad. It was awful.”

The Olympic gold medalist revealed that she even picked up an elbow pads “just to be safe,” and rewatched the rehearsal footage to help her figure out how to avoid another injury. 

And coming from the world of solo ice skating meant that Glenn wasn’t as used to having a partner to watch out for, with Pashkov noting, “You usually only injure yourself because you skate by yourself.”  

“You fall, you injure yourself,” he added. “But in dancing, it just happens—we hurt each other. Part of being in pairs, right?”

In the rehearsal footage shown during the episode, Glenn certainly felt emotional over accidentally hurting Pashov, telling the camera, “I’ve never been the cause of physical pain like that before.”

“I want to be cautious,” she continued. “And I know he’s not going to want me to hold back. I don’t know how to deal right now because I just want to wrap him in bubble wrap and send him on his way.”

Thankfully, the injury didn’t affect the duo’s performance as they earned the highest score of the season so far, picking up all eights from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough to earn a 24.
