Emily Atack shares pictures from her 'restful' honeymoon in Port Isaac with husband Alistair Garner and their son

She's spent the past few weeks wrapped up in wedding-mania that saw her tie the knot in a church wedding in Berkshire before exchanging vows again in Mojacar.

So Emily Atack was no doubt grateful for a 'restful' low-key honeymoon with new husband Alistair Garner and their son Barney. 

After saying 'I do' in front of 197 friends and family earlier this month, the newlyweds jetted back from Spain to enjoy the start of their married lives in Port Isaac, a small fishing village in Cornwall. 

Documenting the honeymoon in an Instagram post on Friday, Emily shared several snaps of herself resting in their rented cottage as well as enjoying the sights of the town with Alistair and their two-year-old son. 

She captioned the post: 'Our restful honeymoon in pretty Port Isaac. 

'Found a gorgeous little cottage that Al couldn’t fully stand up in without whacking his head, played Scrabble, cooked, watched Disney films with Barney and generally behaved like a couple who’d been married for about 40 years ✨.'

Emily and scientist Alistair have known each other since they were children after Alistair’s late father, Stephen, married Emily’s aunt, Jane Garner, in the early 1990s. 

After an idyllic church wedding last month, the Rivals star exchanged vows with Alistair in the courtyard of a 16th-century church in the whitewashed hilltop town of Mojacar in front of 197 friends and family.

David Eagle, an award-winning British comedian and folk musician who has written stand-up material performed on The Emily Atack Show for ITV2, acted as registrar.

After the ceremony, Emily and Alistair walked through a shower of rose petals before leading the champagne toast and mingling with guests.

The congregation then moved down the steps and were treated to a three-course meal consisting of starter options of cod risotto or mandarin sorbet.

Guests quaffed champagne out of coupe glasses before partying into the night.

The fun-loving couple were snapped pouring bottles of champagne over a tower of glasses.

The cast of the Disney+ series proved they could party just as hard as their raucous on-screen characters, as David Tennant, Alex Hassell, Rufus Jones, Bella Maclean and Victoria Smurfit were pictured dancing the night away.

Also in attendance was executive producer Felicity Blunt, who was joined by her actor husband Stanley Tucci, who couldn't keep his hands off his wife.

Notable absences from the Disney+ cast included Aidan Turner and Danny Dyer. It comes after it was revealed Ms Atack's ITV gameshow with the former EastEnders actor, Nobody's Fool, has been dropped after one season. 

Tellingly, Emily's former castmates from the Inbetweeners franchise were not there.

Last week it was announced the beloved show would return for a third film but it was unclear if the actress would reprise her role as Charlotte Hinchcliffe, through which she found fame.

Fans of The Inbetweeners have been given an exciting first look at the upcoming third film as the cast were spotted on set shooting a mystery wedding scene.

Simon Bird (who plays Will McKenzie), Joe Thomas (Simon Cooper), James Buckley (Jay Cartwright) and Blake Harrison (Neil Sutherland) were all seen in smart suits outside a church – though it is not clear which of the four are getting hitched.

As filming kicked off, Ruby Wax's actress daughter Marina Bye – who wasn't in the series or either of the other films – was revealed as the bride and pictured in a wedding dress.

Also spotted on set was Emily Head, 37, who played Simon's teenage obsession Carli D'Amato as well as Martin Trenaman who played Simon's dad Alan.

Meanwhile the famously awkward Will was seen getting close to another new cast member, US actress Hannah Cruz, as the pair filmed a scene together – sparking intrigue over whether he finally has a woman in his life.

A host of new faces were also seen joining the boys, including Marama Corlett, Tadhg Murphy and Vanessa Eng.
