Fans thought SHE was Lachie's mistress... Now Jules' loyal bridesmaid Yassie fires back over Tess' 'death threats' claim that she refuses to let slide

Jules Neale's long-time best friend has taken a swipe at Tess Crosley following her explosive sit-down with Daily Mail podcast The Debrief with Savanna Young. 

Tess broke her silence on her affair with AFL star Lachie Neale in a wide-ranging, hour-long interview, revealing she received death threats after the scandal erupted last December.

Yassie Marie, who was a bridesmaid at her wedding to Lachie, has now responded to what she believed was the suggestion she had made some of those threats.

She insists she did nothing of the sort.

Instead, what she did was forward on to Tess the abuse she received from members of the public who wrongly believed she was the 'other woman' in the Neales' split.

When rumours of the affair first surfaced, Jules took to Instagram to reveal Lachie had 'betrayed' her 'in the most unimaginable way'. But before she posted a follow-up comment identifying Tess as the third party, some AFL fans briefly and incorrectly assumed Yassie was involved. 

'No, I didn't send her death threats,' Yassie wrote in a YouTube comment. 

'What I did do was redirect every single abusive or negative DM I received when people didn't know who the friend [of Jules who was having the affair] was, straight to [Tess].'

Yassie also responded to the interview generally, saying she stood by everything bad she had to say about Tess, who has now blocked her on social media.

'Tess, I have listened carefully to the entire podcast and I just want to say, as one of Jules' friends who you've blocked, I strongly stand by everything I've said about you and to you,' she said.

'Hope that helps.'

A glance at Yassie's social media accounts shows the closeness of her bond with Jules, who recently moved back to Perth with her children. 

The pair are seen partying, holidaying and attending glamorous events together over the years. Jules even features with Yassie in her TikTok and Instagram profile images.

In March, the pair were pictured together at Melbourne's Glamour on the Grid, with Jules affectionately describing her good friend as her 'hot date'.

Yassie's connection to Jules also extends beyond friendship.

The pair are also understood to be business partners behind VÉLA, an upcoming hair brand and salon venture in Perth. 

It comes after Tess used her interview with The Debrief to offer her side of scandal that tore apart Lachie and Jules Neale's marriage. 

Among the most sensational topics of conversations were allegations that the friendship group had been involved in a secret swinging arrangement.

While stopping short of revealing intimate details, Tess suggested there was more to the swingers rumours than had previously been made public.

'There was a lot of context that people don't know... it was a friendship that just got way too close,' she said.

'Out of respect for the other people involved, I obviously can't talk about their private lives.'

The mother of one also challenged another widely held belief about the scandal, revealing she and Jules were not 'lifelong' best friends, as many had assumed.

Instead, Tess says their friendship had only existed for around a year before the affair detonated and sent shockwaves through both families.

However, it was one particularly cruel rumour that ultimately convinced her to speak out.

For months, speculation swirled online that Neale was secretly the father of her son, Beau, a claim Tess says crossed a line.

While accepting responsibility for her role in the affair, she vehemently denied the allegation, which had circulated widely on footy forums.

'I just had a point where I was like, "Don't bring my child into this. That is 100 per cent a rumour,"' she said.

'There's no truth to it at all.' 

For those who missed one of football's messiest off-field sagas, the Brisbane Lions star's affair with Tess sent shockwaves through the AFL world at the end of last year.

The fallout was immediate. Lachie stepped down as Lions captain, his marriage to Jules collapsed, and a once-tight friendship group imploded under the weight of intense public scrutiny.

Since then, Jules has moved from Queensland to Western Australia with the former couple's children, while Lachie has moved on with new partner Emma Field.

Tess, meanwhile, largely disappeared from public view and rebuilt her life on the Gold Coast while enduring a torrent of criticism and speculation.
