Gemma Collins' 'female stalker is arrested' after TOWIE star was targeted with 'menacing and abusive' letters

Gemma Collins's 'female stalker' has been arrested for allegedly stalking the reality TV star with 'menacing and abusive' letters.

The TOWIE icon, 45, first learned she had a stalker last year when she was sent rat poison and she said the ordeal was 'playing havoc on her mind' and she was living in fear of those 'wishing her dead'. 

According to The Sun, a woman in her 30s has now been arrested and bailed by Essex Police investigating the alleged abuse. 

A source said: 'It's been a horrendous ordeal for Gemma. She has been left terrified in her own home. She is grateful to police and hopes justice will be served.' 

Essex Police told the publication: 'In June 2025, we opened an investigation into reports of stalking and harassment in the Chelmsford area.

'A woman aged in her 30s was arrested. She was interviewed and released on bail until November.'

The Daily Mail has contacted Essex Police and Gemma's representatives for comment. 

Gemma has detailed her stalker hell on her Sky documentary and social media, revealing it led her to tighten security at her home.

She also revealed how the stalker claimed to have attended her mother Joan's funeral following her death in July. 

Gemma wrote: 'I've been receiving some truly nasty and deeply personal letters.

'What makes it even more shocking is believing they may be coming from someone very close to us.

'To anyone who thinks sending anonymous cruelty, rat poison, dog poo into someone's home is acceptable, it isn't. Words have consequences.'

Insiders told the Daily Mail in April that Gemma received a parcel full of excrement as well as menacing letters, forcing her to have panic buttons installed in her home. 

Sources told us: 'It's so scary. She has now been sent these unpleasant parcels in the post along with menacing and abusive letters...

'The police have been amazing and installed panic buttons in her house which has made her feel better but she is still terrified. The police have obtained the culprit's DNA but are yet to track them down.'

She previously voiced her fear during a chat on the Everything I Know About Me podcast, where she said her stalker had 'played havoc on her mind' and was the reason she stepped away from her front-of-house work at her Brentwood boutique.

Gemma said: 'No one would believe the bl**dy crap I've had to deal with. I've had a woman stalker that wrote me a letter in white gloves and wanted to kill me.

'You know, people would wish me dead. I'd get all sorts turn up at the shop. Weird. People are weird. And that's why in a way I came away from my shop in the end.'

Gemma contacted police about some of the incidents but admitted she only really felt safe once she ramped up her own personal security.
