IndieWire’s Trevor Wallace Wins Daytime Emmy for Editing ‘IndieWire Craft Roundtables’
IndieWire’s Trevor Wallace is officially an Emmy winner.
Wallace won the Editing for a Daytime Studio Program category at the 53rd annual Daytime Emmys for his work on Season 1 of “IndieWire Craft Roundtables.” He accepted the award during the ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, October 30.
IndieWire was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Daytime Studio Non-Fiction Series for IndieWire executive producer Mary Pelloni’s work on the show. The two nominations and one win, in categories that also included broadcast talk shows, reflect IndieWire’s increasing presence in the traditional video spaces in addition to our written coverage.
Wallace works on IndieWire’s staff as a video producer, where he also produces and edits video content across brands like Filmmaker Toolkit, Future of Filmmaking, and other editorial and sponsored projects.
Season 1 of “IndieWire Craft Roundtables” highlighted the below-the-line artisans on many of the biggest films of the season. Hosted by IndieWire’s Jim Hemphill, the season consisted of four episodes, each centered around a different filmmaking department: cinematography, editing, production design, and casting. Each episode aired on PBS SoCal and streamed on the PBS App in addition to editorial coverage on IndieWire.com.
Wallace won for the editing roundtable episode, which featured included editors Kirk Baxter (“A House of Dynamite”), Affonso Goncalves (“Hamnet”), Michael P. Shawver (“Sinners”), Andy Jurgensen (“One Battle After Another”), Pamela Martin (“Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere”), Saar Klein (“Dead Man’s Wire”), and Luke Lynch (“BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions”).
The cinematography roundtable featured Adolpho Veloso (“Train Dreams”), Malik Hassan Sayeed (“After the Hunt”), Michael Bauman (“One Battle After Another”), and William Rexer (“The Testament of Ann Lee”).
The production design roundtable featured conversations with Cara Brower (“Hedda”), Sam Bader (“The Testament of Ann Lee”), Alexandra Schaller (“Train Dreams”), Scott Chambliss (“Kiss of the Spider Woman”), and Dylan Cole and Ben Procter (“Avatar: Fire & Ash”).
The casting roundtable also featured casting directors Nina Gold (“Jay Kelly”), Margery Simkin (“Avatar: Fire & Ash”), and Jessica Ronane (“After the Hunt”).
“IndieWire Craft Roundtables” returned for Season 2 in June 2026, with six episodes devoted to the biggest TV shows of the year.
