Is Meghan Markle Joining Guy Ritchie’s Netflix Show? All the Details
Meghan Markle Making Acting Return in Guy Ritchie's Netflix Show? All the Details Amid U.K. Move
All rise: Meghan Markle may be approaching another role.
As she and Prince Harry prepare to move back to the U.K. with their kids Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, for an extended period of time, the Duchess of Sussex is being eyed for a new role in Guy Ritchie's Netflix show The Gentleman, according to multiple outlets.
E! News has reached out to Markle's reps and Netflix for comment.
Markle's latest major project will come nearly a decade after she exited the courtroom on her legal drama Suits, playing paralegal Rachel Zane alongside Patrick J. Adams for seven seasons until 2018.
But that doesn't mean she's been as far away from the craft as ever.
In fact, in November, Markle was reported to be making her official return to acting for the first time in seven years, multiple outlets confirmed, for a movie called Close Personal Friends starring Lily Collins and Brie Larson.
At the time, the royal was seen on set in a small role portraying herself in the Amazon MGM Studios-produced comedy, which follows partners who befriend a famous couple, per People, during a trip to Santa Barbara, Calif.
Markle's step back from her professional life came as she decided to focus on her responsibilities within the royal family. (She married Harry in 2018).
And ahead of her and Harry's move to California in 2020 after stepping back from their roles as senior royals, the With Love, Meghan star shared how she truly felt about leaving the world of acting behind.

"I don't see it as giving anything up," she told the BBC in 2017. "I just see it as a change."
As she noted, "For me, once we hit the 100-episode marker, I thought, you know what? I have ticked this box, and I feel really proud of the work I've done there, and now it's time to, as you said, work as a team with [Harry]."
And though having that part of her life in the rearview mirror was initially the plan, Markle hinted at possibly objecting that idea down the line.
"I guess never say never," she told Variety of her acting career in 2022, "but my intention is to absolutely not."
