Isaac Heeney's fiancée Steffie Waters buries photos of him in Instagram page edit after deleting engagement pics  amid Sydney Swans hotel scandal

AFL WAG Steffie Waters has done a massive edit on her Instagram page, removing fiancé Isaac Heeney from her public-facing photos on the account.

Waters appeared to do a reshuffle of her social media posts on Tuesday amid the ongoing fallout from the Sydney Swans sexual assault allegations last month.

She buried images of Heeney, 30, in carousels of other photos and removed a few more, purging her forward-facing grid of any sign of the footy player. 

The first sign of Heeney on her page is a video which was posted in January 2024, though there are more recent photos of him buried in carousels from this year. 

Before the purge, Heeney could be seen plastered all over Waters' social media page, in what was originally meant to be a document of their life together.

However, Waters now only shares public posts about her friends or solo activities from recent years.

It comes after Waters deleted her and Heeney's engagement photo from her social media page amid the ongoing fallout from the Sydney Swans scandal. 

The public swipe raised questions about whether their upcoming wedding is still going ahead, as the fallout from the sexual assault allegations from last month continues.

The picture, which was uploaded in October last year, captured her and Heeney beaming as they announced their engagement, with Waters flashing her eye-popping diamond ring to the camera.

At the time, Waters had kept up other posts of her and Heeney together, including one from May in which the pair were seen enjoying a drink on the beach.

'Happy 30th birthday to this boy. Can't wait to be your wife,' Waters captioned the photo.

The post deletion was a big move for Waters, who earlier this month unpinned the couple's engagement announcement post from the top of her Instagram feed, removing one of the most prominent signs of her relationship with him.

Heeney and four other Swans – Chad Warner, Riley Bice, Nick Blakey and James Jordon – have been stood down for the remainder of the 2026 AFL season after the club found the players had breached its standards by staying out late, drinking and bringing women back to the Pullman East Melbourne hotel in the early hours of Monday, August 17.

It emerged that adult entertainers were brought to the hotel during the gathering, with Victoria Police investigating allegations of an indecent assault that is said to have occurred inside one of the rooms.

Earlier this month, it was reported that police are preparing to interview the five Sydney Swans players as their investigation enters a new phase.

Heeney and Waters announced their engagement in October last year after the footballer proposed during a romantic holiday in French Polynesia.

The couple had shared a series of loved-up photographs from the trip, including shots of Waters showing off her engagement ring, alongside the caption: 'Beyond grateful.'

Meanwhile, Heeney has deleted his Instagram page altogether.

The latest social media changes come after Waters was photographed in tears without her engagement ring after fleeing to Noosa amid the scandal.

The absence of the ring immediately sparked speculation that the couple's relationship had come to an end.

However, a relative subsequently shut down the split rumours, saying that the pair were still a couple.

The relative said the pair had 'remained in contact' and 'had not ended either their relationship or their engagement'. 

They also explained why Waters' ring was missing, saying it had been taken to a jeweller for repairs after the stone fell out.

Three women involved in the night at the Pullman Hotel in Melbourne have made allegations of sexual assault and obtained legal representation, with potential civil action also reportedly being considered.

Police have not charged anyone over the allegations and the investigation remains ongoing.

The players have denied any criminal wrongdoing.

Prominent Melbourne criminal lawyer Tony Hargreaves has been called in to represent the players.
