Josie Gibson gives an update on her scars after having an £8,000 arm lift amid lipoedema battle - as she reveals plans to have three more surgeries on her legs
Josie Gibson had brachioplasty surgery, also known as an arm lift, in March amid a battle with lipoedema.
And on Wednesday, the This Morning presenter, 41, posted a video on Instagram to reveal how she felt about the surgery and reveal how her arms are looking now.
Josie said that while people might think the scars she's been left with are 'horrific', she thinks it's the 'best thing she's ever done for herself.'
She showed how her arms looked before and after surgery and revealed she's planning on having three surgeries on her legs.
Lipoedema is a chronic condition causing an abnormal, symmetrical build-up of fat and fluid primarily in the legs, hips, and buttocks, and often the upper arms as well. There is currently no cure.
Josie said: 'I always knew there was something not quite right with my body. It's almost like my body didn't fit with each other. My legs were really really heavy and I was getting older, the symptoms of lipoedema started getting worse and worse.
'Well I kept three weeks free in the diary but I went back to work after 17 days and I did a live from the Wild Place project and I felt fine.

'I couldn't lift my arms above my head but other than that, I felt well enough to go out and do a live. None of my surgeries have been painful. I would definitely do it again. People ask if it's painful. It's not painful but it is uncomfortable.'
She continued: 'I would definitely do it again, I would love to get my legs done. I've had one lot of surgery on my legs which was lipo on the bottom of my legs but I need to go back another three times.
'But obviously it's the cost and having the space in your diary. So yes, I would do it again because it didn't hurt, it's just the recovery. Your body has got to recover.'
Talking about her choice of surgeon, she said: 'I chose Dr Paul Tulley to do my brachioplasty because, like I find everybody, I saw him on This Morning and he is the arm guy.
'You get different surgeons who are incredible at doing certain things and Dr Paul Tulley was described to me, as the arm guy.
'And I also went to meet Paul Tulley and I felt comfortable with him straight away. He made me feel really relaxed and I felt like I was in good hands.
So that's the main thing. You've got to feel comfortable and get a good vibe from your surgeon.'
She showed the differences between the before and after
Showing before and after pictures, Josie said: 'Some people might think the scars are pretty horrific but I would rather that than what I had before'

'I am going to get some laser on my scars when I get some time and apparently the laser just takes the colour out of it and then it turns it back to a skin colour.
'So there are things that can help with the scarring. I took NAD+. I got an oxygen chamber - so if you do your research on that, you will know that really helps with any sort of healing after surgery.
'I also took vitamin D and Glutathione to help me repair and I took mama's mushrooms just to get that good night's sleep because obviously you repair in your sleep.
'I'm not on the skinny jabs but I need to be, bloody hell, look at those rolls.'
Talking about the cost, she said: 'So my surgery was over £8k. I mean everybody's surgery is different and your surgeon will explain that to you. I had liposuction on my arms as well, so I had the lipo and then I had the skin removal.
'I am not a medical professional, so I am not here to give any medical advice, all I am doing is sharing my experience of my surgery of what I've been through.
'Please do your own research. For me personally, it was one of the best things I've ever done. I've literally had a weight lifted off my shoulders and that's exactly how it felt.
'It is so nice to just wear vest tops and have your arms on show and just feel alright about it. It's something that i've wanted done for a very long time and I am so happy that I had it done.'
