Arriving on Netflix with a bang back in 2025, KPop Demon Hunters swiftly became a cultural phenomenon with people of all ages gathering to watch the animated movie that tells the story of a K-pop girl group known as Huntrix, who lead double lives as demon hunters. However, when they find themselves going head-to-head with boy band, Saja Boys, it is not long before they find out that these boys also lead a double life, one of the demon variety.

Despite airing on Netflix in June 2025, it became the most-watched original Netflix title of all time by the end of the year, managing to rack up over 325 million views. Praised for its animation, soundtrack, story, humor, and visuals, KPop Demon Hunters was picked up for a sequel shortly after but, in the meantime, fans can look forward to an exciting new release.

Battle for the Spotlight is an upcoming family card game courtesy of Z-Man Games. Inspired by the hit Netflix movie, KPop Demon Hunters, this card game for 2-6 players will see you split up into two teams and enjoy fast-paced card battles.

"Grab your lightsticks…and get ready to cheer on your favorite KPop idol group!" The official item description reads. "In this fast-paced game for 2-6 players, two teams will battle it out for HUNTR/X or the Saja Boys in front of a live audience. Your favorite cast of KPop Demon Hunters characters will lend their unique abilities to help your team win!"

Consisting of 22 character cards, 6 team/reference cards, 1 double-sided bonus token, 9 double-sided cheer tokens, 1 contest board, 1 contest marker, and 1 bag, Battle for the Spotlight has everything you need to enjoy short, 15-minute battles inspired by our favorite animated K-pop stars.

As Huntrix and the Saja Boys battle it out on stage, it will be up to you to crowd the arena and fill it with enough cheers to protect the Honmoon. Doing so will protect the crowd from demons, but beware, it will be up to you and your teammates to keep an eye on the performance as not everything is as it seems. As such, you will need to use teamwork and deduction in the "quick-playing tug-of-war game." Luckily, by drawing cards, you may be able to turn the tides in your favor.
