'Although I did all the prep and kept telling myself to stay relaxed, melt into the contractions and each one brings me closer to my baby, my body still went into some sort of shock.
'I couldn't speak even when I wanted to. I couldn't open my eyes. My face was numb & tingling at one point. My hands were clenched and I couldn't open them myself. I was totally unbareable to be around, no one could speak, breath or touch me. [sp]
'Kept refusing gas and air/food/drinks because I was scared of being sick.'
Her labour continued for seven hours, after which she was examined again and told she was only 7cm dilated.
