For Melissa, finding the perfect gift isn't about waiting for Black Friday or snagging the biggest discount. It's about paying attention to what people want all year long.
"I do try to make my lists early," Melissa told E!. "I do try to pay attention all year long when people say something that they're missing or want or running out of or something. I put it in my phone."
The actress explained that she loves finding thoughtful gifts that feel personal, even if that means paying full price. "My love language is actually giving gifts," she shared. "I love finding the perfect gift for someone."
And her connection to Macy's goes back long before this year's holiday campaign. Melissa still remembers exploring the department store's beauty counters with her mom as a child.
"When you're little and you're with your mom and you go through the perfume counters and the makeup counters and you're like, it's all overwhelming and you want to stop and like, see everything and smell everything," she recalled.
These days, she's shopping for a new generation, with Jean Paul Gaultier cologne for her teenage sons and La Mer skincare for her sisters among the gifts she's considering from Macy's.

Adam Devine's Laid-Back Approach to Holiday Shopping
Adam, meanwhile, takes a more relaxed approach to holiday shopping, and he's the first to admit that remembering every detail of someone's wish list isn't always easy.
"My wife can tell me this is exactly what I want, and then the time will come and be like, I know she said something about a purse," the comedian joked about shopping for his wife, Chloe Bridges.
That's why Adam appreciates having a little expert guidance along the way, especially when shopping for loved ones with different tastes. "I'm the type of person that definitely needs someone like that," he shared, referring to Macy's knowledgeable store associates. "They've really trained their employees to really, really help people when they're looking, when they're doing their holiday shopping."
And while he's still exploring handbag options for Chloe, Adam already has some sweet gift ideas for his parents.
For his mom, he's considering a Coach handbag that's special enough to feel like a treat but practical enough for everyday use. "Something that she could tote around in, but not feel like it's too nice to take places," he explained.
And for his dad, an avid fisherman, Adam says shopping is a little easier. "Anything that I kind of like, he would kind of like," he shared, suggesting shoes, clothing or fishing gear.
