Michelle Keegan downs champagne with pals as she launches her new Very range

Michelle Keegan enjoyed a champagne-fuelled dinner with pals to celebrate the launch of her new Very collection on Tuesday.

The actress, 39, looked glamorous in a strappy satin top and neck scarf as she hosted a lavish dinner at The Newman Hotel.

She complemented her stunning outfit with brown PVC snake-skin trousers from her new autumn/ winter range. 

Michelle had her very own black taxi with her name embossed on the side chauffeur her to the plush dinner.

Her 30-piece collection delivers accessible style with refined fabrications, flattering cuts and outfit building essentials. Prices start at £18 and rise to £75.

The capsule wardrobe focuses on elevated casual daywear and versatile pieces for work to weekends and special occasions. 

'I want the collection to feel effortless with pieces you can throw on in the morning and still love by evening,' Michelle said. 'We focused on fit, fabric, and those little details that show the outfit has really been thought through. 

'The blazer and trouser suit in chocolate brown is a favourite of mine, and I love how the stripe knit dress can be styled for every occasion. 

'Shooting the collection in Manchester was so special – the streets, the energy, the people. It made the whole campaign feel even more personal.'

Michelle revealed her 'disgusting' eating habits live on radio on Tuesday as she admitted she liked to have plenty of mayonnaise with her Chinese takeaway.

The actress left Capital FM's Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby in shock as she described how she likes to add the condiment to chow mein and other dishes. 

She said: 'I have mayonnaise with my Chinese. And I don’t think that is a northern thing I think that’s just disgusting. But I love it!' 

Chris then asked at what point she adds the mayo and does she have it on duck pancakes. 

She said: 'I have it straight away. Not the pancakes. [I have it on] Chow Mein.'

Jordan then asked: 'Are you a squirter?' to which Michelle said she was a dipper as she explained: 'I put Chow Mein, fork, dip, dip, dip. Or, I could have a chicken wing and dip the chicken wing in the mayonnaise and then eat it. It’s a bit gross, isn’t it?'. 

Chris then reassured her: 'It’s good we’ve all got our flaws.'

Sian joked: 'We've finally found one for Michelle Keegan.'  

Michelle's husband Mark Wright previously revealed: 'She loves a Chinese takeaway and a curry. We both have a very balanced life and we both work hard in the gym and stay healthy.' 

The actress was on the show to promote her new drama, The Blame. 

Starring as DI Emma Crane, it is her first role since giving birth to daughter Palma in March last year. 

The Brassic star recently admitted it was 'daunting' returning to work for the first time after having Palma. 

Speaking about drama series The Blame, she said earlier this year: 'Coming back to work after having a baby is quite daunting.

'But the production were so supportive and I was so looked after and it was like working with family.'

Michelle previously spoke about struggling under the scrutiny she and Mark faced over their plans to start a family, because she didn't get pregnant until a decade after they married.

She told Grazia magazine last year: 'Around the time we got married, I was open about the fact that I wanted to have a family...

'But then because we didn't choose to have children within a certain time, there was lots of speculation.

'And we can handle that but, at one point, there was a story every week. My family was asking me about it, so I made the decision to not talk publicly about that side of my life.

'I'm going to be 38 this year and, as I've got older, I feel more confident about my boundaries.'
