My Big Fat Fabulous Life's Whitney Way Thore Shares Dream Wedding Plan
My Big Fat Fabulous Life's Whitney Thore Engaged to Jake Beaudoin 3 Days After Confirming Romance
No surprise that reality star Whitney Way Thore has some big fat fabulous plans for her wedding to fiancé Jake Beaudoin.
"When we first got engaged, people were asking, like, 'Oh, so what are you guys planning?'" the star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life (returning to TLC Nov. 10 at 10 p.m.) shared in an exclusive interview with E! News. And though the DJ would tend to respond that they hadn't begun making plans, "I'm like, 'We haven't?'" Way Thore remarked. "Like, 'You haven't. I have and I've been talking your ear up about it.'"
Because the way she sees it, ain't no mountain high enough to keep her from getting to have the wedding of her dreams.
"My fantasy is Banff, Canada, or Iceland—those are my top two," the 42-year-old shared. And while she's yet to pay a visit to the resort town in the Canadian Rockies, it's a vision that's been on ice for quite a while.
As the North Carolina-based reality star, who's accepted two previous proposals, explained, "That's always been my biggest fear about getting married, because I'm so hot-natured. My first thought is, 'I have to get married outside in the cold and how are people going to function?"
But she remains hopeful that people will be, well, cool with it.
"It's my wedding, so, whatever," she reasoned, noting that Beaudoin is happy to rise to the occasion.
"Jake is pretty easygoing," Way Thore noted. And since she prefers to be in control, she's grateful that she's "been met with no resistance so far."
Though as much as she dreams of that majestic vista, "I'm just so excited for the making official of the partnership," she shared, "just feeling like, 'Good, we did it.'"

And, no, she doesn't anticipate any cold feet.
Sure, she was hesitant when she reconnected with the single dad years after he ghosted her in 2018. "Basically, we met, we only hung out a couple times, but he ghosted," she explained. "And I think it took me a little bit to entertain the seriousness of our relationship because I was still thinking about that and thinking like, 'This is going to happen again.'"
But while she acknowledged that she has "very little faith in men"—considering seven months after then-boyfriend Chase Severino slid a yellow sparkler onto the fourth finger of her left hand in October 2019, she discovered that he was expecting a baby with another woman—Beaudoin continues waving green flags.
"When you go from thinking you're just in a casual relationship to all of a sudden we're going to try to have a baby together, things move very quickly," Way Thore explained. "And that can expose a lot of weaknesses that you might feel. But I continue to be pleasantly surprised at every turn, even though I was really, really, really looking for reasons to believe that it wasn't right. But, luckily, he proved me wrong."
Because the two are hardly taking baby steps, Way Thore having already approached Beaudoin about her long-held dream of becoming a mom.
"He was way more into it than I was," she revealed. "I was obviously very nervous to tell him that that was my plan, and I hadn't really expected that it would matter to him because I didn't expect that we would be in a serious relationship."
She assumed once she filled him in on her intentions, he would bolt, but "he was so supportive and so excited," Way Thore detailed. "And he never wavered on that once and still hasn't."
While she still gives him crap about ghosting her ("I bring it up constantly!" she cracked), she's no longer spooked by the idea of forever with him.
"Even when I first met him years ago, one of the very first things I noticed about him is he's such a wonderful dad and he loves being a dad," Way Thore shared. "And he specifically was like, 'I want another child. I want a baby again.' I don't really hear men talk like that much."
But she likes all she's heard from Beaudoin and the new accessory on her left hand. Of course, she's not the only star making the whole place shimmer. Check out the other celebs who became bejeweled this year.
