Jennifer is a TV and Movie News Editor at ScreenRant. She started her journey in entertainment media in 2022 when she first joined Valnet at CBR before coming to ScreenRant.

Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show.

Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far.

She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism.

During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it.

Netflix's upcoming Assassin's Creed gets a major production update.

Netflix's upcoming adaptation of Assassin's Creed is a TV show that is produced by Ubisoft Film & Television. The new series will feature an original storyline instead of recreating something from the video games. The live-action show will star Toby Wallace, Lola Petticrew, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus, Tanzyn Crawford, Claes Bang, and Nabhaan Rizwan.

Netflix's highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Assassin's Creed is raging on behind the scenes. The streaming platform's long-awaited TV adaptation of the hit video game series of the same name is one step closer to its debut. After several years of development, the upcoming show is approaching a huge milestone, with filming in Italy well underway.

The project was first announced in 2020 as part of a partnership between Netflix and Ubisoft. The streaming platform officially greenlit the series in 2025, with production beginning in Rome in March 2026. Now, Ubisoft has offered another encouraging update, alongside a behind-the-scenes picture on the set of Assassin's Creed.

The Fall 2026 Update post on Ubisoft's official website confirmed that production on Netflix's Assassin's Creed series is very close to wrapping. The announcement also revealed that Jean Guesdon, the company's Head of Content for the franchise, recently visited the filming location.

During his visit, Guesdon met with the show's creative team and provided input on several elements of the adaptation. Ubisoft also unveiled a picture, showing Guesdon looking very happy on set. However, the image shows him literally behind the set, and he peers through what appears to be a wooden board, concealing anything that could spoil the upcoming series. The photo offers little information about Netflix's Assassin's Creed, although it does provide viewers with another update that work on the project is progressing very smoothly,

Ubisoft previously confirmed that filming would primarily take place at Cinecittà Studios in Rome. The production is using and expanding an existing Ancient Roman set at the famous studio, allowing the creative team to recreate the video game's unsettling and rustic atmosphere.

The announcement also revealed the involvement of award-winning composer Hannah Peel. She has worked on several major projects in the past, such as Insomnia, Rogue Agent, and Game of Thrones: The Last Watch. Peel will compose the music for the Netflix adaptation. However, Ubisoft has not revealed any specific details about the show's soundtrack.

Despite the encouraging new developments, Netflix has not announced an official release date for Assassin's Creed at the time of this article's publication. Ubisoft has also not revealed any information about when the series will premiere. So audiences will have to wait just a little bit longer for any confirmation about when the series will debut.
