Pip Edwards turned heads at Derby Day on Saturday, stepping out at Flemington Racecourse in a striking white gown by Australian designer Mariam Seddiq.

The fashion designer, 46, opted for a dramatic look for the opening day of the Spring Racing Carnival, wearing a sleeveless high-neck gown featuring layers of ruffled fabric and sheer detailing.

The voluminous gown featured a thigh-high split that revealed a pair of lace, thigh-high Jimmy Choo boots with strappy detailing, while Pip completed the ensemble with a helmet-style fascinator that obscured her eyes and featured delicate netting flowing from beneath her chin.

She shared several photos of the look on Instagram, showing off the intricate design from different angles.

But fashion was not the only thing on Pip's mind, with the designer also offering a brief update on her new relationship with businessman Nicholas Nogarotto.

Asked by the Daily Mail how things were going between them, Pip replied: 'We're happy. I'm super happy.'

The couple have increasingly been stepping out together at high-profile events since their relationship first came to public attention earlier this year.

Pip first made her relationship with Nicholas public in April when the pair attended a VIP Prada party in Sydney.

She later accompanied him to Australian Fashion Week, where they were seen cuddling up at the Carla Zampatti runway show.

In May, an insider told the Daily Telegraph the relationship was going strong, with Pip reportedly 'head over heels in love'.

The designer subsequently shared a photo of herself and Nicholas during a romantic getaway to Tasmania, including a visit to Hobart's Museum of Old and New Art.

Nicholas is a director at business consultancy firm Freshwater Strategy and a non-executive director at non-profit organisation Karitane.

He previously spent 11 years as an executive director at global consultancy firm CT Group, leaving in 2022.
