Selena Gomez's husband Benny Blanco appears to SKIP Taylor Swift's lavish MSG wedding celebration despite being spotted in NYC

Selena Gomez has set off a whirlwind of rumors about whether her husband Benny Blanco will join her at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's New York wedding.

The two women are such longstanding friends that when Swift got engaged last August, fans instantly began wondering aloud if Gomez would be a bridesmaid.

Gomez was among the celebrities spotted this Thursday en route to Madison Square Garden for the first of what are thought to be two functions.

However at around noon EST that day, Gomez uploaded a picture of herself with Blanco and wrote cryptically: 'i wish benny was here rn.' 

A few hours later, the Come and Get It singer shared a clip of herself in the car on the way to the wedding venue with her husband not in evidence. 

Meanwhile the gossip account DeuxMoi obtained a tip from a fan who claimed to have seen Blanco walking down a New York street that day. The accompanying photo was of a man whose only partly visible face was blurry.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Gomez, Blanco, Swift and Kelce for comment.

Swift flew to Santa Barbara especially to attend Gomez and Blanco's wedding on September 27 last year, and even delivered a toast. 

However Gomez has allegedly refused multiple requests to be a bridesmaid at Swift's wedding to Kelce, with the Daily Mail exclusively revealing why.

In her car video on the way to Madison Square Garden this Thursday, Gomez was applying lipstick from her Rare Beauty line, which she made certain to tag in a caption.

Fans raked her over the coals online, posting jibes like: 'Did she use her friends wedding to plug her product?,' 'Using other women's success for relevancy…. stay away from her,' and: 'Taylor getting Rare Beauty PR boxes as her wedding gift.'

The groom himself used his special day to promote his podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother and fellow NFL star Jason Kelce.

At around 6pm Thursday, the official New Heights Instagram page shared an ad for an episode that drops 'TOMORROW,' featuring the debut of 'a very special guest.' 

The Daily Mail has exclusively obtained images of camera equipment being unloaded outside Madison Square Garden this week, raising the possibility that footage of the wedding might at some point be available for public consumption.

A princess castle has reportedly been erected inside Madison Square Garden for Swift, who will purportedly play hostess to a staggering 1,000 guests on Friday.

Initial reports had claimed Swift and Kelce would hold a more intimate rehearsal dinner for 100 on Thursday, followed by a massive extravaganza on Friday.

However sources have now informed the Daily Mail that the couple, who got engaged last August, will in fact exchange vows Thursday evening.

The Daily Mail has reported that Swift and Kelce made their guests sign nondisclosure agreements and watermarked each digital invitation with the recipient's name so that if any of them was leaked, the couple could easily identify the culprit.

Rumored attendees like the bride's longtime co-writer Jack Antonoff have been awkwardly deflecting media questions about whether they would even attend.

Some locals have been left fuming at the roadblocks installed near Swift's Midtown wedding venue, inasmuch as travel out of Penn Station has been impeded just as New Yorkers attempt to leave town for Fourth of July weekend.

Midtown traffic descended into chaos Thursday as stars headed towards Madison Square Garden in SUVs for Swift and Kelce's wedding.

NYPD officers on patrol outdoors have been threatening to arrest media who refuse to keep away from the venue, while those working inside the stadium have allegedly had their phones confiscated for the duration of the wedding, according to TMZ.
