Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac sparked concern on Monday morning when he failed to turn up for work following a late night at the Logie Awards.
The Channel Seven star had assured his colleagues he would be ready for work after attending television's night of nights – but was nowhere to be found when the breakfast program went to air.
'It's the morning after the Logies, obviously. It's always a late night,' one of his co-stars explained.
'We can't find Sam Mac. Do you know the irony? He must be a bit under the weather. We literally can't find him this morning.'
A Sunrise presenter revealed they had left the celebrations at about 11.30pm, with Sam confidently telling them: 'I'll see you tomorrow. I'm working tomorrow.'
'Not working,' they joked.

Adding to the confusion, Sam had reportedly been booked into his hotel room under the name of one of his colleagues.
Reporter Georgia Costi was forced to step in at the last minute and present the weather in his absence.
'Georgia, you've had to stand in. What, get yourself all dressed, find yourself a blue suit, because we couldn't find Sam Mac,' a host said.
'This is legit. We just couldn't find Sam Mac this morning.'
Georgia explained she had been relaxing at her nearby hotel after covering the Logies red carpet when she received a frantic phone call asking where she was.
'I was just chilling, having a bit of a coffee,' she said.
'I received a panicked call from the human emoji saying, "Where are you?" And thankfully, I was down the road.'
Georgia quickly got dressed and rushed downstairs before attempting to convince a reluctant taxi driver to take her to the broadcast location.
However, the mystery surrounding Sam's disappearance was finally solved when he appeared on camera as workers dismantled the Logies red carpet
'He was like, "You can walk there,"' she recalled.
'I was like, "Mate, I can't. We've gotta get going."'

'Well, well, well. Fancy seeing you here,' his colleague teased as Sam pretended to help pack up the event.
The popular presenter claimed he had skipped his weather duties because he was lending a hand to the crew.
'A lot of hosts are happy to walk the red carpet. Not many help pack up,' Sam joked.
'People in TV are not happy to get their hands dirty. I am.'
When questioned about his lack of a high-visibility vest, Sam insisted he was taking on more of a managerial role.
'I'm kind of more of an Undercover Boss kind of energy,' he quipped.
'I'm directing him on what to do, manual-wise.'
Sam then attempted to wrap up the chaotic segment, telling his colleagues: 'If we've done the weather, we've done the weather. Thank you, guys in the studio.-
