Sydney Sweeney slips into a white mini dress as she ropes her friend into being her social media manager during water taxi ride in Venice

Sydney Sweeney has got straight to work in Venice, roping in a pal to snap an impromptu photoshoot on board a water taxi.

The actress has jetted in for the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. 

Whilst she doesn't have any film projects to promote at the annual film fest, she, like fellow Armani Beauty poster girl Kendall Jenner, will be walking red carpets and hitting parties in her role as global ambassador for the brand - the official sponsor of the festival.

Sydney dressed the part for her first full day in town on Thursday, emerging from her canalside hotel in a strapless white mini dress.

The chic star added shades and a black clutch bag as she made her way to a water taxi, where her friend promptly started snapping photos of the posing star.

Venice Film Festival's red carpet events began Wednesday with the premiere of British director Danny Boyle's Ink, a drama about the rise of media magnate Rupert Murdoch. 

It closes on September 12, with Italian costume drama Dio Ride (God Laughs), written and directed by Giovanni Veronesi.

Stars expected to attend this year include Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis, sisters Rooney and Kate Mara, Robert Pattinson, Penélope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem, Pamela Anderson, Sam Rockwell, John Malkovich, French actor Louis Garrel, South Korean actress Cho Yeo-jeong and US actress Ellen Burstyn, who is accepting a lifetime achievement award.

Sydney, who will celebrate her 29th birthday next week, spent her first night in Venice at famous celeb hotspot Harry's Bar.

She hit the town in another strapless white dress, accessorising with a custom necklace featuring the initials 'SB,' in an apparent tribute to her 'billionaire' boyfriend Scooter Braun, 45.

Just one day earlier, Sweeney was spotted out and about in Los Angeles with Braun, who she has been romantically linked to since September 2025. 

The couple were joined by Braun's three children - Jagger Joseph, 11; Levi Magnus, nine; and Hart Violet, seven - who he shares with his ex-wife, Yael Cohen.

Braun tied the knot with Cohen in 2014, before welcoming their three children. 

But in 2021 their marriage came crashing down when Braun filed for divorce, which was finalised in 2022.

Sweeney looked remarkably affectionate with Braun's kids on Monday afternoon as they went for a stroll after school before stopping for smoothies. 

It marked a major development in the couple's romance, which began months after they met at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's Venice wedding in June of last year.
