Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's guests were 'scanned' for secret recording devices at MSG wedding

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding guests were subjected to tight security inside Madison Square Garden, where the couple held their highly anticipated wedding on July 3.

Swift and Kelce, both 36, went to extensive lengths to make sure the scenes inside the venue would not be leaked.

In addition to surrendering their phones upon entry, their 1,000 guests were also scanned for Meta smart glasses and any other potential recording devices, per TMZ.

The outlet reported that even the New York Police Department officers who were on duty at the arena were forced to give up their phones for the shift. 

The Daily Mail has reached out to Swift's representative for comment but has not yet received a response. 

The bride and groom had camera crews to document the big day, which insiders have said will be used for a special film.

It will reportedly cover everything from the planning stage to the day itself, it's claimed, with the finished product to be sent to guests as part of a 'thank you for coming' present package. 

Famous couples including Simone Biles and husband Jonathan Owens were present for the nuptials.

Karlie Kloss and husband Joshua Kushner also made an appearance.

Kobe Bryant's widow, Vanessa Bryant, was among the slew of famous faces who showed off their wedding looks online.

The 44-year-old star brought along daughter Natalia Bryant, 23, writing on Instagram: 'Congratulations T&T!!!!'

Natalia shared two stunning snapshots modeling a strapless sapphire gown and wrote on her respective account, 'Something blue.'

Another mother-daughter appearance was made by Cindy Crawford, 60, and Kaia Gerber, 24, who matched in black gowns. 

Jessica Alba, 45, brought boyfriend Danny Ramirez, 33, as her plus one to the wedding.

After the nuptials, she took to social media to post loved-up clips with her boyfriend as they got ready. 

Swift and Kelce's wedding was full of actors, movie moguls, sports stars and supermodels. 

Rapper Jay-Z and teenage daughter Blue Ivy were spotted arriving in Midtown on Friday, touching down via a chopper alongside Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg. 

Musicians including Jack Antonoff, Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello and the Haim sisters were also in attendance. 

As Kelce kept his now-wife busy in August 2025, a team descended on his home garden to stage the setting for his proposal.

The songstress and athlete later used Instagram to announce their engagement, with a caption reading: 'Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.'

Swift first publicly spoke about her romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end in her 2023 Time Person of the Year interview.

At the time, she described herself and her then-boyfriend as 'just two people supporting each other doing what we love.'
