The Best Star Wars Game in Years is Now on Amazon Prime

Prime Members can also claim 11 more free games

Each month, Amazon Prime members get two new batches of games: one batch to keep, and another batch to stream via its cloud gaming service, Luna. The Luna library includes some standout titles, like Control, Hollow Knight, and the Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy.

Last month, Amazon added a couple of great recent Assassin's Creed games, and fans of Ubisoft's open worlds will want to check out September's new offerings. Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are now available to play via Luna.

Star Wars Outlaws

Star Wars Outlaws is a galaxy-spanning adventure that takes Ubisoft's classic open-world formula and combines it with everything you know and love about the seedy side of Star Wars. Step into the boots of scoundrel Kay Vess as she goes on the run, picking up contracts for the galaxy's crime syndicates along the way. Outrun the Empire, blast some bucketheads in the face, and gamble your life savings at the Sabaac table. Star Wars Outlaws had a mixed reception at launch, but after a few crucial updates, it's now one of the best Star Wars games around and a game any Star Wars fan, or gamer looking for their next open world to explore, should check out.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Developer Massive Entertainment had a pretty massive (heh) couple of years by releasing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars Outlaws back-to-back years. The Avatar game takes players to Na'vi and has them play as one of the tall blue cat people defending their home from the villainous RDA. It received a mixed critical reception at launch, but the over 8,700 Mostly Positive player reviews on Steam certainly indicate players are enjoying their time in the jungle. Originally a first-person action-adventure game, it can now be played in third-person, something that even the Frontiers of Pandora developers think makes the game better.

Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are available now. Also coming throughout September are King of Tokyo, It’s Quiz Time: Guinness World Records, Bowling Mayhem, and Cranium Planet, though Amazon did not specify the exact dates when they'll be added.

Amazon Prime members can also get a dozen free PC games over the course of August. Unlike Sony's free PlayStation Plus games, which you can only play while your subscription is active, Amazon's free games come via redeemable codes from various PC gaming storefronts, like the Epic Games Store and GOG. You'll still own and have access to them even if your Amazon Prime subscription ends.
