Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

It is an exciting time for The Witcher fans. Not only can we expect the third and final DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, titled Songs of the Past, which is set to launch some time in 2027, but The Witcher 4 is also in development at CD Projekt RED with a target for a 2028 release.

However, before all that, fans of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can look forward to the launch of the remastered version, which is expected to launch later this month on 29 September. With it having been over a decade since the most recent The Witcher installment was released, it is definitely eligible for a remaster and, luckily, it will arrive as a free update for those who already own the game on their chosen platform.

On top of all of these exciting releases, there is another The Witcher product in the wings: The Witcher: Legacy. Created by Go On Board, the TTRPG will see players take on the role of an iconic Witcher as they fight to uncover a plot behind the sacking of The School of the Wolf. "History is being written. Make sure it bears your mark," the official description reads.

Beginning its life as a crowdfunder over on Gamefound, The Witcher: Legacy has now earned an incredibly impressive €12,738,502 in pledges, with 32577 backers showing their support. Perfect for 1-4 players, with each game lasting around 150 minutes, this brand-new TTRPG is a unique, story-driven, cooperative campaign where "all decisions come with tangible consequences, each action leads to a different outcome, and every chapter provides mechanical freshness."

With its creators revealing that the main campaign offers 48+ of gameplay, with over 100+ hours expected to uncover all of the secrets it includes, it is safe to say that this TTRPG is the ultimate The Witcher experience in a board game format.

"Thanks to a fully non-linear campaign, each playthrough can follow a different path - letting you replay the story many times over and easily reach 100+ hours of gameplay," the description reads. "Additionally, Endgame Mode brings a dynamic sandbox environment with evolving challenges, ensuring the adventure never stops."

 Legacy

Available to pre-order now ahead of its Summer 2027 launch, The Witcher: Legacy comes alongside a free narration app and multiple editions. With nine versions available, each increasing in price, you can decide how much you want to invest in this TTRPG experience, with the cheapest version costing $109 and its most expensive, aptly titled "I Want It All", coming in at $480. However, with the latter including all expansions, visual add-ons, and post-campaign gadgets, it will offer the ultimate experience for those who wish to full y immerse themselves in the brand-new The Witcher-inspired world.

Luckily, you can still pledge to this incredible project, and it will be the perfect way to immerse yourself in the world of The Witcher in between some of its biggest releases.
