While a 128GB microSD Express card may get you by for a while, upgrading to 256GB really hits the sweet spot for Nintendo Switch 2 owners. For a modest price increase, the 256GB option doubles your usable capacity. That is why the onn 256GB microSD Express card is a great budget pick.

With impressive read and write speeds of up to 800 MB/s and 600 MB/s, respectively, the onn 256GB microSD Express card delivers performance comparable to the competition in its class. Depending on your gaming taste, this card can comfortably hold up to 20 first-party games or around six AAA titles.

If your budget allows, the onn 512GB microSD Express card is the best choice and lets you store twice as many games. Its performance matches its smaller counterpart. The read and write speeds on the onn 512GB microSD Express card top out at 800 M/S reads and 600 MB/s writes.

At current pricing, the 256GB and 512GB onn microSD Express cards cost $0.18 and $0.16 per GB, respectively. The former is your best bet if you want to stay under a strict $50 budget. Nevertheless, the 512GB capacity offers better value if you are willing to pay the extra $38.

Walmart backs all its onn microSD Express cards with a limited one-year warranty.
