Why Gold Coast influencer couple Olivia Mathers and Jack Jeffress suddenly split after a romantic holiday

Gold Coast influencer couple Olivia Mathers and Jack Jeffress have split after three years together.

The pair, who started dating in 2023, announced their break-up this week, with Mathers, 29, confirming the news with a TikTok video on Tuesday.

Jeffress, 30, revealed to the Daily Mail on Friday that there is no bad blood between them, saying they simply 'grew apart', but that differing family plans were an issue.

'We're good. Just grew apart. There's nothing wrong. We're still hanging out, we're still chatting a whole lot, it's just different goals,' he said.

He went on to say he and Mathers had split about 'six weeks ago', adding that she was ready to start a family while he was still focused on his career.

'She's great. Everything's good. She was ready for a family and all that, and I'm just ready for a career change, which doesn't quite fit,' he said.

'I will be ready for a family one day, I guess. Who knows?'

However, Jeffress struck a hopeful note, admitting he doesn't think 'the door is closed yet' on the relationship - 'but time will tell'.

'I think we're both learning, that's for sure,' he added.

For the moment, Jeffress said he is focusing on surrounding himself with loved ones while he decides where he wants to take his career next.

'My goal, personally, is trying to figure out what I want to do as a career option,' he said.

'I built a pretty successful personal training business up, and I just didn't want to do that anymore.

'And through the process of all of it, you know, it is tough trying to start again at the age of 30, but my goals over the next few months will be just to focus on that.

'Keep fit and healthy. Keep my friends close to me, work on my hobbies and interests, just be a genuine human and just enjoy life, but also work hard during the week.'

Daily Mail has also reached out to Olivia for comment.

Mathers uploaded a video to TikTok earlier this week revealing to her followers that she was currently 'going through a break-up'.

'I'm going through a break up and today feels a little bit harder than the other day,' she said during a Get Ready With Me clip.

'So, let's put ourselves together and get busy because the slow moments are definitely when it feels a lot harder.

'I have lived alone a lot of my adult life. I came across a post this morning and it was talking about how in other cultures it is so normal to stay at home.

'Being on your own you're kind of forced into dysregulation. Last time I was single, it was when I fell into binge eating and letting the wrong people get too close to me.

'What I was searching for was that emotional regulation and that comfort.'

Mathers went on to say that this time around she is trying to do things differently so she doesn't fall into old patterns.

Mathers and Jeffress' split came shortly after they enjoyed a romantic staycation on the Gold Coast, where they stayed at Peppers Broadbeach

To keep herself 'regulated' and busy, Mathers said she has been spending time with friends, training, 'catching the sunrise', and treating herself to beauty appointments.

'I really feel like the hardest emotion to process in this whole thing is the grief for where you thought you would be,' she added.

'When you're in a relationship, you're looking ahead. I'm thinking five years ahead. I'm already imagining my family. I'm visualising a wedding.

'It's kind of just like letting go of all these ideas. Why do we put emotional value and connection on things that haven't even happened?'
