If you've been on Steam lately, you've probably seen droves of Stardew Valley-likes adorning multiple carousels of games across the platform. It's been a wild ride since 2016, when the powerhouse simulator originally launched, and it's inspired tons of games to this day. At one point, it was manageable; now, the number of simulators is better measured in the hundreds.

While you look around at your next big game, there are a few that have come out lately that fit the bill, but this one in particular hits all the right notes, especially if you're a Legend of Zelda fan. Now, over on Steam, you can pick up the game as it preps to fully launch.

Fields Of Mistria Is The Best Stardew Valley-Like You'll Ever Play

Fields of Mistria Cliff

Fields Of Mistria has been taking the Steam community by storm, and as of the time of publication, it's sitting at "overwhelmingly positive" reviews. It's been a smash hit for NPC Studio, as the game wonderfully blends adventure games with Stardew Valley-like simulators, and the two coalesce in a very satisfying way.

If you've never played Fields of Mistria before, the premise is simple: "Start your new life - Build the farm of your dreams as you discover a world brimming with possibilities. Magic, romance, and adventure all await you in this nostalgic farming/life sim RPG." Much like Stardew Valley, Mistria sports the farming and romance elements, but the magic and adventure bits are more similar to classic games like The Legend of Zelda.

The game isn't resting on its laurels after 1.0 either, as more content is planned beyond the core launch. The team also has a plan for foreign language support: "Gameplay features and content in the 1.0 update will be accessible by any player regardless of selected language, but translated text (particularly for late-game features) may be missing or incomplete initially depending on the selected language. The Beta localizations will be updated and improved regularly until they are ready to be considered fully released. If a piece of text is unavailable in your selected language, it will temporarily appear in English."

What Time Does Fields Of Mistria 1.0 Launch?

Mistria Release Times Chart

Thanks to a new official FAQ, we have a bit more info on what 1.0 of Fields of Mistria will entail. 1.0 will release today at 12PM ET worldwide, and all saves will carry over from Early Access to 1.0. The developers have "no plans" to raise the price of the game for the full launch, and players won't need to use a new save for achievements. In fact, they'll be retroactively applied, which is fantastic.

As far as "potential ports go," the team is just focused on the Steam launch at the moment, but they'll be "evaluated" after everything is set on PC.
