Although The Legend of Zelda fans have been waiting months for information on the Ocarina of Time remake following a leak (and then official confirmation), you could say that they've been waiting decades. We did get a remake on the 3DS, but that was fairly faithful, and now this remake looks to completely reimagine everything we once knew from 1998, when it debuted on the Nintendo 64.

All we have to go on officially is a short intro scene showing Young Link asleep, but as we know, there's so much more to come, including seeing Hyrule and Adult Link in all their glory. Thanks to new information on X, we have an idea of when the Ocarina of Time remake will actually arrive.

Fans have noticed that South Korea has officially rated The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time on Switch 2, with approval on July 24.

So let's break this down. South Korea has rated the game as "12+," rather than "all ages," like the 3DS edition of Ocarina of Time. This is partially due to the changing times, but it could also indicate that the remake has more frightening imagery given its newer visual style, which could alter the tone.

Many Nintendo 64 fans will recall how scary the Shadow Temple could be, so if the sights are even more frightening in HD, that could warrant a change like this. As for the rating itself, these typically come when a publisher is ready to unleash more info on the world. The Ocarina of Time remake is coming later this year, so Nintendo will need to share concrete information at some point to secure pre-orders.

A Nintendo Direct just for Ocarina of Time makes too much sense, and rumors point to a September stream. If that happens, the floodgates are open for the remake.
