The update introduces three new Legendary Champions to the game, including Brienne of Tarth on August 26, Lyanna Mormont on September 9, and the Lord of Winterfell himself, Ned Stark, on September 23.

Each Champion brings a different role to Stark-focused teams, with Brienne being built around spreading Freeze across enemy formations, striking a target and nearby foes while becoming increasingly dangerous as her allies inflict more Freeze. Lyanna, on the other hand, rewards carefully ordered attacks that can chain one assault into another, while helping her allies resist disruptive effects such as Silence, Restrain, and Misdirection. Her abilities can also ensure that a Stark leader is prepared to immediately counter an enemy attack.

Ned rounds out the trio as a protective support Champion, absorbing burdens from his allies, restoring teammates, and delivering his own punishing attacks.
