Taskmaster is a British comedy panel show where contestants must compete in hilarious, nonsensical challenges, set by host Alex Horne, while the other host, Greg Davies, judges them on their performance. It's an immensely popular series and has branched out to numerous other countries, and is clearly made for television.

Here's how that conversation went:

Alex Horne: I'd guess we'll do a movie, will we Greg?

Greg Davies: Yeah, I'd think we'll do a movie, yeah.

Horne: Are we in it, or does somebody play us?

Davies: But a really earnest, origin story, like a sort of Batman Begins but for Taskmaster. I would put a lot of my time into that.

Horne: Well, can I have Owen Cooper play me as a young lad?

Davies: Yes certainly, I mean it's an interesting choice, but I welcome it.

It's unlikely they're serious, but then again, who knows? Taskmaster keeps going from strength to strength, so while an origin story is unlikely, we could see the format transformed into something befitting of a feature-length film. Or then again, perhaps the show will be deserving of a Social Network-esque Hollywood treatment. There'd just be one question: who would play Greg Davies?

For those outside of the United Kingdom, you can watch the entirety of Taskmaster's season 21 on the official YouTube channel. Residents of the U.K. can watch it via Channel 4.
