Upon launch back in 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons offered players hours of content, as well as the ability to make their own, in the latest entry in the beloved Nintendo franchise.

Releasing at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Animal Crossing: New Horizons became a lifeline for many fans, allowing them to connect with friends during the various lockdowns that took place throughout the year. A year on from launch, Nintendo launched its Happy Home Paradise DLC for ACNH, and in more recent years, it finally brought the hit game to the Nintendo Switch 2, alongside Version 3.0.

Despite the love for the game, and its record-breaking sales and achievements, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has also received criticism for its lack of post-game updates. As such, its player base has dropped dramatically in recent years, with players finding no reason to return to the social simulation game, especially when Pokémon Pokopia burst onto the scene back in March 2026.

However, there is no denying the love for the Animal Crossing franchise, which has been a fan-favorite since it launched back in 2001. As such, this upcoming release is guaranteed to put a smile on the faces of many.

As part of a collaboration between Nintendo and ice cream brand, Baskin-Robbins, Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans can look forward to a brand-new event dropping this July, and it will definitely help with this heat.

Announced on the official Baskin-Robbins Twitter/X account, a brand-new ice cream-inspired Dream Address will be making its way to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, allowing players to get their hands on some exclusive items for their very own islands. If you did not already know, Dream Islands allow players to travel to them and get their hands on items they may not already have, or even just take some inspiration, and now it seems as though Baskin-Robbins is joining in on the fun.

Kicking off on 1 July, the Baskin-Robbin social media accounts will share the Dream Island code, and players will be able to travel to it up until 31 July. Featuring clothing designs, flags, and even an ice-cream store, all custom designs will be distributed to visitors during the event.

Unfortunately, there will be no Animal Crossing: New Horizons-inspired ice cream dropping alongside this event, which is probably for the best considering that the game is based around some adorable creatures, but it is still an exciting time for those who still play the beloved Nintendo game and wish to get their hands on some limited-time items.
