Beatles biopic filming continues with Barry Keoghan flashing rude hand gestures while dressed as Ringo Starr and Paul Mescal keeps a low-profile in his Paul McCartney costume

Filming for The Beatles biopics continued on Tuesday, as the four lead actors were spotted hotting the road in St John's Wood.

Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney) and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison) were seen filming the Sam Mendes-fronted films, which will be broken down into four instalments. 

Paul, 30, and Barry, 33, were pictured in a Commer PB camper conversion, with the latter flashing two fingers at the camera before he was then seen in a Jaguar E-Type Series 1, during which he raised his middle finger. 

The four biopics are due for release next year and are based on each of the members and set for simultaneous release.

Last month, the foursome were seen recreating the famous zebra crossing moment at Abbey Road, for the album of the same name as the iconic venue. 

The cover image was taken by Scottish photographer Iain Macmillan, a close friend of John, who balanced precariously on a ladder in the middle of the north London road. 

He had just ten minutes to get his shot so he got the Fab Four to walk back and forth continuously over the now famous zebra crossing. 

Sam Mendes, who is directing, had wanted to recreate the 1969 cover, but it was reported at the time Westminster council wouldn't allow filming to take place there.

It was later confirmed to the Daily Mail by the council that filming would go ahead in the location and they were working closely with production teams to facilitate filming.

Abbey Road was the penultimate album released by the Beatles, however Let It Be, their final album, had largely been recorded before the material on Abbey Road.

Also on set was a replica of John's famous psychedelic Rolls-Royce Phantom V. Its hugely significant to the Beatles' story.

He originally had it painted black, but in 1967 he had it completely transformed: bright yellow with elaborate red, blue, green and gold designs inspired by Romani decorative motifs.

Daniel Hoffmann-Gill was also seen as his character Mal Evans, who was The Beatles' main roadie and formerly a bouncer at the Cavern Club.

Brian Epstein hired Mal to assist the band, after which he became indispensable and present for all of The Beatles' tours and nearly all of their recording sessions.

The latest sighting comes after it was reported that Barry had an on-set tantrum while filming was underway at Stonewall Park in Kent.

Sources told The Daily Mail: 'He tore out his Ringo earrings, threw them into a bush and stormed off down the drive. Staff spent a long time fishing through the bushes trying to find them. That meant filming had to be suspended for a day.'

The outburst comes amid Barry's retreat from public life which, prompted by a barrage of online hate, left him, he said: 'hiding away'.

The trolling was mostly directed at his appearance and at rumours that he cheated on pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter after they dated from 2023 to 2024. He blasted the claims as 'completely untrue'.

In April, he said on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast: 'I came off Instagram and social profiles. I stopped going to events. I stopped socialising.'

The Beatles biopic has been plagued by controversy, with fans saying the actors look too unlike the Fab Four.
