In 1965, CBS aired A Charlie Brown Christmas for the very first time. In the 60 years since then, the television special based on Charles M. Schulz's Peanuts comic strip has become one of the most beloved things to watch when winter comes around. While Charlie, Snoopy, and the rest of the gang have had numerous specials since, many involving other holidays, they are returning to celebrate Christmas season once more.

Apple TV announced Wednesday that the next special in its Snoopy Presents series will be 12 Days of Snoopy. The streamer also released an official trailer showing off the Peanuts gang's latest snowy adventure. The official synopsis reads, "Snoopy has landed on Santa’s naughty list. With just 12 days until Christmas, he sets out to prove he’s not such a bad beagle after all, discovering along the way that the season is about more than gifts." The special will premiere on Nov. 13, which is just about one week away!

Thanks to a deal with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide, and Lee Mendelson Film Productions, Apple TV is the streaming home for all old and new Peanuts media through 2030. Most recently, the partnership saw the release of Snoopy Presents: There's No Place Like Home, Snoopy, which premiered this July. 12 Days of Snoopy will be produced by Peanuts and WildBrain.

One of the most surprising parts about Apple TV's announcement is how much music will be involved in the latest special. Emmy Award-nominated composer Jeff Morrow (a Snoopy veteran) will score the special. 12 Days of Snoopy will also include original music from an all-star lineup. Here are all the confirmed musicians and songs:

  • "Get Ready" by John Legend, produced by Raphael Saadiq
  • “Trying To Get There” by Kamasi Washington, featuring Leon Bridges
  • “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” performed by Laufey, produced by Spencer Stewart

As with past Peanuts specials, 12 Days of Snoopy will likely have a runtime of roughly half an hour, though Apple has not confirmed this.
