The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 season 1 release time is almost here. After a few weeks of launch content, with players learning the ropes in the fantastic campaign, excellent multiplayer, and innovative-yet-flawed DMZ mode, it's time for Call of Duty to do its usual thing and introduce a load more maps, weapons, modes, and more, not to mention Modern Warfare 4 finally coming to Call of Duty: Warzone.

Here's everything you need to know about the Modern Warfare 4 start time in your time zone, along with what to expect with the new season.

Modern Warfare 4 season 1 start time in your time zone

Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone season 1 start at 12 a.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 6. This is a big change from previous Call of Duty games, where new seasons would usually start at approximately midday. Here's how that looks in your time zone:

  • 9 p.m. PST on Thursday, Nov. 5 for the west coast of North America
  • 12 a.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 6 for the east coast of North America
  • 2 a.m. BRT on Friday, Nov. 6 for Brazil
  • 5 a.m. GMT on Friday, Nov. 6 for the United Kingdom
  • 6 a.m. CET on Friday, Nov. 6 for western Europe
  • 2 p.m. JST on Friday, Nov. 6 for Japan
  • 4 p.m. AEDT on Friday, Nov. 6 for the east coast of Australia

What to expect from Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone season 1

Call of Duty games typically introduce loads of new content in each season, and while Modern Warfare 4's first season doesn't quite have as much as Black Ops 7 did each season, there's still a lot to sink your teeth into. Three new maps are coming at launch, along with two new weapons and three modes. In a mid-season update, you can also expect two more maps and weapons.

In DMZ, the X01 location is being introduced, which is a "previously undiscovered weapons facility" north of the North Korean border, according to the official blog post. "It appears comprised of a dimly lit, labyrinthian network of passageways, tunnels, and linking chambers surrounding a clandestine weapons assembly line and other, more surprising locations."

Meanwhile, Modern Warfare 4 is being fully integrated into Warzone, which means Hajin — the DMZ map — is coming to the battle royale mode, along with all the MW4 weapons, equipment, and more. Zodiac is the name of a new Resurgence map coming, while both Verdansk and Rebirth Island are returning. All of this coincides with the launch of Warzone on Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
