Ella Langley justifies calling off show over alleged threat as 'a concert's not worth a human life'
Ella Langley has explained why she felt justified in canceling her concert at Tulsa, Oklahoma's BOK Center over a purported security threat authorities said was not credible.
The 27-year-old vocalist, who performed Saturday at the United Supermarkets Arena, said that she wasn't willing to risk the safety of her fans, declaring that 'a concert's not worth a human life' in a clip posted to social media.
The Hope Hull, Alabama, native said during her show, 'When it comes to keeping you safe and making sure that this show is a safe place for us to come and enjoy our music, then it will happen – but the second it feels like it will not, I'm not doing it.'
The Choosin' Texas artist defended her decision to call off the show Friday after police in Tulsa dubbed the issue a 'false bomb threat call' after they swept the venue with K-9 officers.
'I would have made yesterday's decision 10 billion times over – and I'd do it tomorrow, and I'd do it the next day because, while I'm grateful to get to do what I do, it's not the most important thing in this life,' she said.
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Langley for additional comment.

Langley told the audience, 'What's the most important thing in this life is the people around that love you and are there for you no matter what.
'The most important thing in this life is making sure you wake up every day and feel like, "You know what? I'm good today, and I'm so grateful to have woken up today."'
Langley made reference to her faith in her emotional speech to the crowd: 'The most important thing in this life, number one, is your relationship with Jesus Christ.
'If it wasn't for him, I would have canceled this show tonight. I would have, but I felt this calling and this tug in my chest saying, "It's OK, we're safe and we can do this show." I decided to because of him right there, and that's the only reason.'
Langley said she refused to 'live in fear' as she continued with The Dandelion Tour following the canceled show.
'We are going to put on music and get to do this for the rest of our lives,' the singer said. 'I know that because this is my calling.
'This is the thing that I was called to do, and I'm gonna continue doing it - and nobody is gonna talk me out of it [or] scare me out of it. No, you will not!'
Langley thanked her fans for 'showing up' following the 'scary' incident the preceding evening.

'It was scary for all of us, but we're just so grateful to be playing this show tonight … and we will never take this for granted,' she said. 'We love it, we love what we do... I wouldn't trade it for the world - this is my favorite thing to do in my life.'
Langley spoke about the incident in detail after police disputed the account she gave when she canceled her Friday show citing a 'serious security threat.'
Langley shared a statement online hours before showtime that read, 'Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team, the incredibly difficult decision was made to cancel tonight's show.
'This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team.'
However, the Tulsa Police Department contradicted Langley's explanation in a Facebook statement that insisted: 'We advised the performer's staff that we found no credible threat to the event, but they decided to cancel the performance anyway.'
Tulsa police captain Richard Meulenberg doubled down in a since-deleted Facebook video, saying: 'We would never tell anybody, if we couldn't find a credible threat, to cancel their event.
'So they made the decision to cancel their event tonight,' according to KOCO 5 News in Oklahoma.
Tulsa police had previously called the issue a 'false bomb threat call' after conducting a sweep using K-9 officers and finding no indication of danger.

Elsewhere in the caption, she acknowledged fans' efforts to make it to her performance.
'I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am,' she wrote.
'This is not a decision that was made lightly.
'I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way,' the songstress declared.
The BOK Center's statement, shared by Langley, said the decision was made with consideration for 'the safety of fans, venue personnel, and the artist.
'The safety and well-being of everyone involved is our absolute priority, and after careful consideration, we have determined that the show cannot proceed,' the announcement read.
It continued, 'We understand the disappointment this news brings and apologize to fans who planned to attend. The safety of fans is our foremost concern and will always come first.'
The center added that additional information regarding refunds is to come.
The country star, 27, disappointed thousands of fans who had traveled to see her perform at BOK Center when she shared a statement online, pointing to 'a serious security threat' hours before showtime
Fans took to X to express disappointment at the canceled show, with multiple people stating that they'd driven hours to see the entertainer.
'Over an hour into my drive to Tulsa only to find out Ella Langley concert [is] canceled. Bummer! Now what?!' wrote one person.
'We drove 4 hours from Dallas today and have to leave by 5am for our kid's soccer game,' complained another.
Some blamed politics for the false alarm, claiming that upset liberals phoned in the phony threat to hit back at Langley amid backlash over resurfaced photos of her hunting.
'1000% it's some unhinged moron leftist,' speculated one person, while another added, 'Guarantee it has to do with her hunting deer. Liberals are the craziest people in this country.'
The agitated internet user continued, 'We hunt!... you don't like it, too bad. You will not cancel her out for her hobby! Get a life, morons.'
Another rebutted, 'Far lefty here that was so excited to see Ella Langley! I adore her and was 30 minutes out when we found out.
'My daughter and I were sad. Her music is great! Not sure what left has to do with it. People suck, but we can't let them win.'
