Ben Brosofsky has been writing for Screen Rant since 2022 and editing since 2024. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's in Cinema & Media Arts. Writing serves as a much-needed distraction from tackling a backlog of Steam games that will never be surmounted.

Grand Theft Auto 6 might not cost $100, but plenty of players will still be forking over that sum by the time it arrives in November. While the base game retails for $80, the Ultimate Edition ups the price to $100, and it might not be quite as auxiliary as most special edition upgrades.

With pre-orders for the game now open, Rockstar Games has already laid out all the details about what content is exclusive to the Ultimate Edition of GTA 6. Not only does this include some cosmetics and cars, but a number of shops and missions are also locked behind the upgrade.

All GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Bonuses

Jason uses Vice City style clothing in GTA 6.

The nature of bonuses for GTA 6's Ultimate Edition is fairly well-distributed across a variety of categories, and Rockstar promises that they're "threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story." Rather than simply typing in a code to unlock items at the start, the Ultimate Edition goodies are spread throughout the game so that rewards will be found in each chapter of the story.

The full slate of additions can be found on the official Rockstar Games website, but they're spread out across a long horizontal scroll without a discernable sense of organization. For convenience, the complete list can be found below, divided into categories.

Vehicles

  • '95 Grotti Cheetah
  • Army Green Dinka Enduro motorcycle
  • '67 Vapid Dominator buggy
  • Crest Kayak
  • Shitzu Squad boat
  • Vapid Ganado Retro modkit

Shops

  • Rideout Customs
  • Sara's Unisex Salon
  • Stock 305
  • Electric Fang Tattoo
  • One-Eyed Willie's

Weapons & Cosmetics

  • Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers
  • Personalized versions of Jason's Girardi ES9 pistol and Lucia's Klose K17 pistol
  • Vice City cosmetic options
  • Goodtime Gear capsule collection

Missions

  • PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store raid
  • Classic Car Collection commission

Currently, the inclusion of Shops and Missions as Ultimate Edition content is causing the most division among fans. While cosmetics are no surprise, players planning to buy the base game are now feeling like they're missing out on more significant content. This isn't the first time that Rockstar has reserved certain missions for an upgraded edition, but the slate of exclusive shops is a new step.

Pre-Order Bonuses For GTA 6

Jason and Lucia dance together at a club, wearing Vintage Vice City clothes, in GTA 6.

Seperately, preordering either edition of Grand Theft Auto 6 will come with a couple of bonuses. The Vintage Vice City Pack leans into the '80s Miami vibe of the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, adding cosmetic options for Jason and Lucia, a custom weapon pattern, and a two-tone '55 Vapid Stanier sedan, and a garage alongside Ocean Beach.

A free month of GTA+ is also included, which offers limited-time access to some perks for GTA Online, like a 500K monthly deposit and in-game discounts. Aside from the GTA Online perks, GTA+ members can access some other games for free through the GTA+ Games Library. Right now, that selection includes the Grand Theft Auto 5 campaign, but there's no guarantee it will stick around forever.

Whether you opt for the Standard or Ultimate Edition of GTA 6, there's no way to get a true physical copy of the game at launch. The Standard Edition is available both digitally and as a "Code in Box" version, which fills up shelf space without actually including a disc with game files. The Ultimate Edition, meanwhile, is only available digitally.

Ultimately, none of the Ultimate Edition perks should be essential parts of the GTA 6 experience, but it is an unusually extensive roster of inclusions. Fans uninterested in supporting the approach might be best advised to stick to their guns and opt for the Standard Edition, while there are more than enough GTA diehards who will see the bonuses as all the more reason to invest $100 into Grand Theft Auto 6 ahead of release.
