GTA 6 Gameplay Leaker Sends Rockstar A List Of Demands, Threatens More Leaks

With Grand Theft Auto VI mere months away from release and an official reveal coming via Netflix in mere days, you would think that the fan base could wait a little longer. Sure, it's been almost 13 years since we got a GTA game and Grand Theft Auto VI has felt like it's been delayed more times than Star Citizen, but surely the finish line is now in sight, right? Well, some aren't willing to wait anymore, and the leaks have started flooding in for Grand Theft Auto VI along with a list of demands from the person (or persons) claiming responsibility.

A hacker group known as CyberLeek have been very busy since 18th August 2026 leaking content for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI. Everything from a new two-minute gameplay clip, UI, the wanted system, a full map reveal and lots of vehicle reveals are all up for grabs on their website. The content is most likely legit as it keeps getting taken down and anyone sharing it is getting hit with DMCA strikes on YouTube. The chances that this is just AI slop are very low, although we'll know for sure once the Netflix reveal happens on August 27, 2026.

The drama doesn't stop there either. CyberLeek is threatening to leak even more content each day. The reason for their persistence, is that they feel Rockstar have broken many of their own gaming commandments and deserve to be punished. The people behind CyberLeek have their own edict and set of commandments that they believe all game developers should live by.

Part of CyberLeek's edict includes the following:

CYBERLEEK was born in the networks. It has seen what gaming can be at its best, and it has watched what the industry did to it. Slowly. Methodically. One monetization scheme at a time.

Publishers sell licenses and call them purchases. They ship unfinished games and call them living services. They lock content on discs and call it DLC. They kill games and keep the money. Every year anti-consumerism tightens its grip, and every year gamers get less for what they pay.

And here is the list of "commandments" that they want all game developers to follow:

Commandment I: Thou Shalt Not Sell Digital Preorders

Commandment II: Thou Shalt Not Sell Fake Single-Player DLC

Commandment III: Thou Shalt Preserve Single-Player Content

These three commandments are the floor — not the ceiling — of what is acceptable. If publishers violate them, they will be targeted. CYBERLEEK will continue to disrupt their operations until they issue a public statement and apology with a concrete commitment to fix the harm they caused.

It's clear that the people claiming to be behind the Grand Theft Auto VI leaks are serious about their convictions, and it would seem it's now up to Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive to respond, or perhaps we'll see even more leaks over the coming days. With no official statements from the studio as yet, and lots of content removal and DMCA strikes going out, it looks most likely that Rockstar want to bury these leaks and go full steam ahead with the game's marketing leading up to launch. There is, I would imagine, zero chance Rockstar will listen to a single one of these demands, either.

With the official game reveal on Netflix just days away, and unofficial leaks appearing on a daily basis, it's up to fans to decide what they want to watch. Staying away from leaks and enjoying the game fresh on launch day seems to be the most sensible option, but the choice is yours. Personally, I'll happily content myself with Marvel's Wolverine and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake in the coming months while I wait for November 19 to come around. Regardless of leaks, it is unlikely anything will shake the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI as it's easily the most anticipated game of the decade.
