It seems impossible for PlayStation to put out a piece of hardware that doesn't look sleek and futuristic in some sense. Whether it's a console like the PS5 or the smooth design of the DualSense controllers, they just always have a little something sophisticated and tasteful about them. And their upcoming hardware release certainly continues that trend.

Announced late in 2025, Sony is planning on releasing a new set of PULSE Elevate Wireless Speakers, although until yesterday there was no official release date given. Now, PlayStation has revealed that the speakers will launch on November 12, 2026, and will cost $219.99 for one set. Pre-orders are expected to start next month, on September 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET, although the color options will not all be available to everyone.

These PULSE Elevate speakers will be available in two color choices: Midnight Black and White. The Midnight Black version will be available to everyone on PlayStation's online store and select retailers. However, the White variant will be exclusive to specific areas, including the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

The wireless speakers are said to feature lifelike gaming audio and clear voice chat with ultra-low latency and lossless wireless technology. They can connect to and switch between various devices easily, including your TV, smartphone, PC or Mac, or even your PlayStation Portal. A charging dock is included, with a full charge providing "hours of lifelike audio" even when you take them on the go.

PlayStation uses its own PlayStation Link technology in these speakers and has a built-in microphone included in them for easy voice chat and AI-enhanced noise reduction technology. This means that the mic should help identify and block out unwanted background noise for clear communication even without a headset.

This news comes on the heels of the Marvel's Wolverine hardware that PlayStation recently unveiled, which includes a special Wolverine-themed DualSense Wireless controller and PS5 in "Marvel's Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition" as well as console covers in the same design. While these speakers may not look as flashy as that, they do look stunning on their own. Plus, the Midnight Black versions of the PULSE Elevate wireless speakers would look pretty good next to that Wolverine PS5.

Another previously announced piece of PlayStation hardware, the FlexStrike PS5 Fight Stick controller, has unfortunately been delayed due to unexpected production issues. While it was originally expected that the Fight Stick would arrive this month, we now do not have an anticipated date for when it will be available.

Thankfully, this new confirmation of the PULSE Elevate wireless speakers is a positive step. Announcing this launch date so soon after the delays for the Fight Stick leads us to believe that they are confident that the speakers will make their scheduled release. This is particularly true with them coming so close to the holidays on November 12, 2026. PlayStation won't want to miss out on holiday sales for these beautiful speakers.
