Australian actor Josh Quong Tart has pleaded guilty to high-range drink-driving after recording a blood-alcohol reading of 0.36 following a single-vehicle crash.

The 50-year-old, known for his roles in Home and Away, All Saints and Underbelly: Badness, was found behind the wheel of a white Toyota Corolla, which had crashed into a ditch near his Burrill Lake home.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Josh had been drinking over several days before the incident.

Emergency services were called to River Road at Lake Tabourie, near the Princes Highway, shortly after 11.15am following reports of an accident.

Paramedics treated the actor at the scene before taking him to Milton Hospital, where he returned the reading.

A blood-alcohol concentration above 0.3 is considered potentially life-threatening and may result in unconsciousness, coma or death.
