You don't need to be good. You just need to be lucky

The lucky escape skill is a difficult move to pull off in Forza Horizon 6 because succeeding at it depends considerably on one's driving skills. However, the "Get Lucky" Series 2 "Horizon Decades" spring daily challenge requires you to perform this move in a 2010s car. If you want to earn as many points and credits as you can while this playlist is running, you should learn how to land this move.

Below, we explain how to do a lucky escape skill in Forza Horizon 6, either by focusing on the technique or sheer luck.

The lucky escape skill in Forza Horizon 6 is the result of performing a near miss skill as you drift. While the former is the classic technique where you brake to slide the car sideways, the latter is earned when you pass next to non-player cars at high speeds without hitting them.

In order to land a lucky escape skill, you might have to spend some time practicing drifting your car. Maybe you already know some basic drifting fundamentals, like using the e-brake to drift, but we have listed other tips that can help you succeed in this challenge.

You can practice drifting to land this move, but we also have another suggestion: you can just force it to happen. Our main strategy is to drive along the highway on the southwest side of Tokyo City and try to drift between the other cars until you land a lucky escape. Because the road is wide and has a couple of long curves, you have good opportunities to drift. It helps if you're driving one of the best drift cars. In our experience, we got two lucky escapes within five minutes of driving in that area.

Performing this move requires a bit of skill, but there's a randomness involved, and this method capitalizes on it. Drifting perfectly near other cars without hitting them is not a simple feat, but it can happen by sheer luck, and you can improve your chances by trying to drift past multiple cars in sequence on a crowded road. This is not the most elegant method, but it works.
