'I was really surprised... the state he was in': Inside Sam Wood's night of partying at a Melbourne house music gig before his domestic violence arrest

Sam Wood was reportedly seen partying in Melbourne just days before he was arrested on October 3 and charged with domestic violence offences against his wife Snezana after an alleged assault at their $3,000-a-night Noosa holiday home.

The former Bachelor star, 46, attended the three-hour Dom Dolla concert at Marvel Stadium on Thursday, September 24, according to an eyewitness.

Social media users took to Reddit to discuss Wood's behaviour, with one claiming they saw him at the gig.

'I saw Wood at the Dom Dolla concert in Melbourne on Grand Final (weekend) Eve. He was alone trying to get through the crowd,' one person wrote.

'I was really surprised, and actually tapped my friend to show them who it was and what state he was in.'

The stadium was buzzing with a party atmosphere as nearly 60,000 fans packed in to dance the night away to the Australian DJ's high-energy set.

The event ran for several hours, with Dom Dolla taking to the stage at around 8.50pm before the concert wrapped up at 11pm.

The concert took place nine days before Wood's arrest, which followed the alleged incident at the Noosa property.

Wood was refused bail when he fronted Maroochydore Magistrates' Court over the alleged offences against Snezana, who is fully supportive of the charges being pursued.

Prosecutors alleged he pushed his wife into a wardrobe, grabbed her by the throat, threw her against a wall and struck her head against the floor during the incident, which was witnessed by her daughter Eve, 21, who called triple-0.

When he faced court in Queensland, police prosecutor Sergeant Jeanette Grigoris noted he had previously choked Snezana in a similar incident.

Over the weekend, it was reported that  Snezana reached out to a friend last year looking for a way out of her eight-year marriage to the reality star.

A friend of Snezana told the Herald Sun that the mother-of-four had been struggling behind the scenes, despite the couple's seemingly picture-perfect public image.

'Everyone has known what's gone on. It was an open secret in Brighton. Snezana wanted to find a way out,' the friend said.

Another friend claimed Snezana did not have access to her finances or the couple's bank accounts during the marriage.

The revelations come despite the family's considerable property dealings in recent years.

Wood sold his online fitness business to a Melbourne billionaire for $71 million, while the sale of the couple's Elsternwick home in May reportedly netted $6 million.

He subsequently purchased a $2.7 million property in Mount Martha, while the couple's Brighton family home is now on the market for $7.15 million.

Meanwhile, a former partner of Wood's spoke about his erratic behaviour during their relationship.

She claimed he once threw her clothes onto the front lawn of her home following an argument.

'If things didn't go his way he became increasingly erratic. He was always tight with money... looking for ways to save a buck. He even tried to get Snezana's engagement ring for free,' she said.

The claims come as Wood prepares to make another bid for bail in the Supreme Court on November 4 after spending three weeks behind bars.

Snezana, who was recently seen in public without her wedding ring, has not posted on social media in recent days, while neither has her daughter Eve, who have both previously maintained active online profiles.
