Jenny McCarthy Reveals RHORI's Ashley Iaconetti Was Her Son’s Nanny

Ashley Iaconetti Says Taylor Frankie Paul Wasn’t “Ready” for The Bachelorette Role

Jenny McCarthy has unmasked the identity of her son’s former nanny.

The Masked Singer judge revealed that her son Evan Asher’s former nanny was none other than Real Housewives of Rhode Island star Ashley Iaconetti.

But that gig came to an end after Iaconetti—or Ashley I., as many may know her—was picked to be on season 19 of The Bachelor in 2015, vying for the affection of Chris Soules

“She was my son’s nanny,” McCarthy explained on the July 15 episode of Bachelor Happy Hour. “And of course, my son was like, ‘I have the hottest nanny in the world.’ And then one day, she’s like, ‘I can’t work for you anymore’ and I was like, ‘Why? Who’s stealing you?’ And she was like, ‘I got chosen to go on The Bachelor.

And the former Playboy model, who shares the now-24-year-old with ex John Asher, was more than happy to give her departing caretaker some tips on how to conduct herself on TV.

“You’re gonna do everything I tell you to do and you’re gonna make it,” she recalled saying. “You’re gonna just pull through. I don't know if you're gonna find love, but everyone's gonna know who Ashley I. is after this.”

While the 38-year-old didn’t end up finding love on her season of The Bachelor, the franchise did introduce her to her future husband Jared Haibon, whom she met on Bachelor in Paradise in 2015. And ahead of the couple’s nuptials in 2019, McCarthy’s husband Donnie Wahlberg brought his fellow New Kids On The Block members to celebrate with Iaconetti on her bachelorette trip.

“Happy Bachelorette Party ASHLEY!!!!!" he wrote on his Instagram Story at the time. “#NKOTBachelorette congrats Ashley & Jared!"

Since marrying Haibon in 2019, the couple has welcomed two sons, Dawson, 4, and Hayden, 23 months, and moved to his native Rhode Island. And now McCarthy can watch Iaconetti’s journey continue on RHORI, which has been a slightly different reality TV journey for the mom of two.

“That was a learning curve for me because I think that I expected one thing and then had to settle into another,” Iaconetti told People on April 4. “But I've always felt pretty comfortable in front of the camera.”

McCarthy and Iaconetti aren’t the only surprising celebrity friends in the entertainment industry. Keep reading to find out more unexpected duos…
