LeAnn Rimes Shares Steamy Photo With Eddie Cibrian From Romantic Trip
LeAnn Rimes Details Family Health Crisis After Hinting at "Heart-Wrenching" Issues
LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian booked a one way ticket to the jacuzzi.
The country music star shared a photo of herself cozying up to the Sunset Beach alum as they lounged in a hot tub during their romantic getaway in Sedona, Arizona.
In the snap shared to Instagram July 14, Rimes is cuddled up to Cibrian as they enjoy a view of the desert from their hot tub. And while it seems the couple were able to spend plenty of alone time together, it was the small moments from the trip they’ll remember most.
“Turns out, a cross country roadtrip with a horse trailer, a mystery tractor-ish thing, far too many bags and enough snacks to cross several countries was always going to produce some good footage,” Rimes—who chronicled the trip to Sedona and Santa Fe for her Substack—wrote in the post’s caption. “There were questionable roadside sightings, car karaoke, a LOT of gas station potty breaks, incredible food and a few moments that probably should’ve stayed off camera…but didn’t.
Rimes and Cibrian’s road trip comes nearly three months after their 15th wedding anniversary, which the “How Do I Live” singer shared didn’t go exactly as planned.
“We got to step away for 3 days amidst work and some very tense, heart wrenching things happening at home with family,” Rimes wrote on her Instagram April 23 post commemorating their trip to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. “It’s been a different anniversary, one filled with tears and worry, but in between, there were moments of laughter and deep gratitude for this love of ours.”

Though the “I Need You” singer didn’t share any specifics as to what she and Cibrian—who shares sons Mason, 23, and Jake, 19, with ex-wife Brandi Glanville—was dealing with in their personal life, she emphasized that “15 years is just the beginning.”
“Day by day, we walk hand in hand through the rollercoaster of life,” she continued, “and god, i’m so grateful that it’s with each other.”
While Rimes, 43, and Cibrian, 53, faced public scrutiny after their romance began on the set of the 2009 film Northern Lights while both married to other people, she shared that their hurdles have only strengthened their relationship.
“We’ve been through so much in our 15 years as husband and wife,” she added. “We know how to ride the waves, hold each other in times of need, mend what needs mending. i’m so proud of what we have created together.”

An Official Hard Launch
Though Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes' origin story is, in a word, complicated, the pair we're asking, how do I live with you once they met on the 2009 Lifetime movie Northern Lights.
Months after Us Weekly reported that March that the two were having an affair, Cibrian filed to end his marriage to Brandi Glanville while Rimes and dancer Dean Sheremet announced they'd ended their union as well.
With the legal paperwork underway, the duo began stepping out in public, attending an August 2009 Kings of Leon concert in L.A., vacationing in Mexico the following March and attending the April 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Happy Birthday to Her
What happened in Vegas for Rimes' 28th birthday in September 2010, "Eddie gave me some rose gold bangles which were beautiful," she told People. "It was very sweet."
The singer also opened up about having Cibrian—plus his sons Mason and Jake—living in her L.A. pad. "It's quite chaotic," she acknowledged. "I went from being by myself to having two kids in the house. It's really amazing. They're really incredible."

Beach Babes
After marrying in an intimate ceremony at a private L.A. home in April 2011, the couple (enjoying a beach day for his 40th birthday in June 2013) moved into a larger, six-bedroom spread and started talking about filling it up.
"It took my mom 12 years to have me. I hope I don't have that [issue] but if I do, then a surrogate is something I've thought about," Rimes detailed. "Eddie and I have also talked about adopting. My capacity to love a child doesn't stop at my own eggs, obviously!"

Falling Hard
Regrets, she has a few. But falling for Cibrian (joining her for a November 2013 sky diving adventure) isn't one of them.
"What happened is not who I am, period," she stressed in a 2010 interview with Robin Roberts. "I do know how much I love him. So, I've always said I don't live my life with regret. I can't."
The way she sees it, Rimes continued, "You had two couples whose marriages didn't work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love."

Getting in on the Action
Three years after Rimes (flaunting some PDA at a January 2014 event) insisted she and Cibrian would never do a reality TV show, the duo launched their VH1 series LeAnn & Eddie.
"People are always wanting to make it a story of me being a homewrecker and trying to take someone's kids," she explained to People. "They take the love I have for my family and twist it around in some weird, sick way."

Santa, Baby
Yes, there were ongoing tensions between the duo and his ex Glanville, but Rimes remains proud of how they worked through it.
"We have gone through hell and back to be together and blend a family," she told OK! in 2014. "Those sort of things are not easy. It takes a commitment. We've gone to therapy to learn how to communicate better because we don't want to screw with the kids. It has made us better and our marriage stronger."

All She Wants for Christmas
"Yesterday was wonderful," Rimes wrote in a Dec. 26, 2014 Instagram snap, adding how much she loved "our family."

Secrets to Their Success
While everyone was betting against them, the pair continued to thrive. "You grow as a couple," Cibrian (at a 2015 fashion show in Miami) explained to Entertainment Tonight. "Every day you find something else that you love about each other. It's wonderful. You have a real companion and somebody who's just there and [who you] trust with everything, they know everything. It's nice to have that."

Strong Teammates
"If I look back at our relationship, I’m really in awe of the things that we’ve endured and how we’ve grown together," Rimes (huddling up with her husband at a January 2018 Los Angeles Lakers game) told Us Weekly. "The place we’re in now is just so comfortable and calm and quiet. We really find our quiet together. That’s really important."

Family First
Glanville credits her sons for helping pave the way for a strong co-parenting relationship with Cibrian and Rimes (in July 2019).
"I think we both grew up a lot because obviously, it was a decade of fighting," she explained on the Hollywood Raw podcast in 2021. "I think our kids had a lot to do with it because the kids love when we're all together, and it's so obvious. They're so happy. They're giddy little creatures."

With the Boys
One of Rimes' greatest joys is helping raise Cibrian's boys (celebrating Thanksgiving in 2022). "We have a very calm life, which is wonderful," she told E! News in February 2026. "And it didn't start out that way at all, but now, we've really grown into—we just love each other."

Standin' by Her Man
Rimes knows just what she needs to feel at peace in her relationship. "It's about just being present with each other, honestly," Rimes told E! News in 2025. "You think you know someone, but in 15 years, you evolve so much. It's like learning every day when you wake up."

Date Night
After a three-year break, Rimes and Cibrian returned to the red carpet at the May 2025 ACM Awards in Texas. "time for this grandma to call it a night!" Rimes joked on Instagram of leaving mid-event. "pulled a perform and run but switching to @primevideo to catch the rest of the show."

Crystal Anniversary
Celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary with an April 2026 trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Rimes reflected on all that they'd learned.
"We love being around each other," she shared with E! News. "We laugh a lot. And he's just a good guy. He really is. So, 15 years is wild to think about that it's been that long. But so far, so good."
